Default Slate Grey non-metallic

Rennlist,

Does anybody own a 993 in Slate Grey?

Note we refer to the non-metallic version.

Best,

don't think that non-metallic was an option...maybe PTS; but Slate Grey Metallic was a standard color i believe.

I own a Slate Grey Metallic Car. The only year Slate was offered was 1995. On 96-98 cars Slate Grey was PTS only.

As for Non Metallic, I've only seen one car in person and that was a 964 Turbo 3.6. Its a stunner and owned by the Ingram Collection in Durham. Never seen a 993 in non metallic slate

Interested to see the photos! I contemplated painting my 993 in this colour; the only photos I found at the time were on a thread on a popular forum here in the UK, called PistonHeads :

With different wheels and a lower ride height, I think the car would look very smart .

i don't like the flat slate grey... almost military in its look

otoh, proper metallic slate grey is among the sweetest colors for a 911, whether old or new

The only slate 993 I can think of that isn't metallic on a 993 is the RUF car. Not sure if it counts as slate grey or just grey. Either way, it's beautiful.

That driveway and car look familiar. I'm pretty sure I saw both in a Craigslist ad for another car for sale a few days ago, although I can't remember what car it was now .
