Question Seat recovery (GROUP BUY)??

Have any of you found a place that sells leather kits to recover the factory seats? I like the feel and the pattern of the factory seats I just dont like how mine look at this moment. I am sure to get these from porsche it would be too expensive to consider. I have seen places that make seats for 964/944/911 but never a 993. Any suggestions?

Can try the following company that sells repair kits for leather (better than nothing). They've had Porsche experience for prob. 20+ years.

I looked at there web site before and thought about it. Have you ever seen what the final result looks like? I might buy some crappy seats from ebay and try it on them first.

I have personally installed many different katzkin seats and they are very nice quality. I think that they are willing to make the pattern for any car if they have 10 orders. I will call them and find out what we need to get these seats made.

Worked OK for me. Had some wear spots on the outside of the side bolsters. Good color match altho they don't quite match the leather pattern.

I used a similar product (of course this stuff could be considerably worse than the color plus stuff) on a previous car and it looked like I took the leather off and replaced it will thin plastic?? my seats were super slick and shiny. What color are your seats ?

There is a link to the company that made his seats and they list 911 as one of the cars whose seats they do.

Thanks for the tip about this place. I talked to them and they said that the seats run $595. If we get a group buy going they could give us a nice discount. I will have to take my seat covers out to get the pattern made. Let me know if you guys are interested in getting some of these. I will do mine first if this is the case, and post a dyi.

The ones from gaah cost $1500.

I bought some full leather covers a few years ago from World Upholstery and was happy with the quality:

If anyone is still reading this thread - I just ordered the Gahh seat covers and will have them installed professionally next week. If anyone is interested I will post pics and a report of the quality, etc.

$1500 is a little steep - they better be good.

Post the progress with pics if you can. I have a set of sport seats I need recovered. I would like to know the quality of the leather. I have bought boot covers and convertible tops from them in the past and the quality was exceptional. I would assume the seats are top notch as well.
