Wow, that sounds steep. A couple of years ago, I found a shop that would redo my 993 seats in the same german leather (according to them) for 500/seat (but I never got around to doing it as other costs prevented me from taking that plunge). Now that was maybe 3 years ago so labor costs could certainly play a factor here. Just wondering aloud. Post your results, please.

Yeah - seems steap to me too. $1500 gets you the leather, labor is about $400.
I got a call from the shop today and the covers are in. I will take the camera and take a few pics when I drop the car off. I will post them, but I am still waiting for my membership packet from Rennlist - joined about 5 days ago.
Along with the seats they are going to recover the piece that on the interior at the top ridge (across top of windshield). I am doing a horrible job of describing this, but I mean the part where my interior light is - this is a piece that goes all the way along the inside of the top of the windshield. I have a cab and this is pretty worn. Also, they will recover the middle T bar looking piece inbetween the rear seats (again - cab).
I will give a review of the Gahh leather seat covers and the shop that does it.

I had my seats custom reapholstered for C$900. That included the two front seats (front and back) with new padding and the two rear seats installed and taxes in. I was given four leather quality options and went with a very high quality leather that looks similar to the factory supple leather except thicker and without the creases and the stitching is slightly thicker. I've gotten many complements on from local rennlisters. I simply looked for a car apholsterer and found a shop that does car leather conversions for new car dealers. I'll try to post pictures soon. I can't get to my car for the next couple of days.

Louis J: Would be interested in knowing about your shop, as well as seeing pix. It would be cheaper to ship seats to Vancouver than have them done locally.

Years ago I used Autos International for a seat cover for my SC. Part was really well made and fit perfectly. I had it installed at Trim Line in Redondo Beach, and the owner said it was one of the nicest pieces he had ever seen outside of factory.

Ok, I am posting pics of seats. The leather and fitment was very very nice. I got complements all of the time about the look of the seats. I have pics of the covers before install, but not of 'progress per se. I will include general inerior pics - I hav e since sold this car and bought a black C4S

It was the factory red seats - not sure of the color, I later replaced the door panels (the underneath piece that is behind the door pulls and door pockets) with black leather. This gave the door a 2 tone look and was very attractive.

Kcreager1, those look fantastic! So many of the recovered seats I see here have weird wrinkles and misaligned seams and piping. Yours look factory new.
