Hi guys,

I would like to have 'clear bra' installed on my car. Can anyone who had it done professionally recommend a reputable shop for install.

I found a place in Manhattan Beach/ Torrance area called Envisage Design Labs. Transparentbra.com is their web address. Has anyone used them?

Their prices seem steep and would like other quotes if possible.

I'm not sure if they do entire 'clear bra' type work, but I had my fender stoneguards replaced by Brace's Bodyshop in Marina Del Rey. (310) 823-2474. I was very pleased with the work they did. You might want to give them a call.

T J Wallace at Chips Away in Orange is expensive, but very good, from all accounts. 714-350-6070. Kind of far for you, however.

Wallace was at Dunkel's, and said they were no longer using 3M material, but have something called Leading Edge.

Pete,

Thanks for the info. How expensive are they, and do you have one installed by them? Thanks.

Correction - they are using a product called Safeguard from Venture Tape Corp. now- just found the brochure I picked up at Dunkels. I waited too long after the front was resprayed to have it installed, and got new chips. I plan on putting stoneguard on after I have the front touched up next time.

I think it was around $1100! for a 911! A friend had 2 996s and a Cayenne done by these people and was happy.

I talked to a guy who had it done on his GT2 for $900. Local here in SF Bay area called Clear Armor, using 3M product.
