I Love This Car
I love this car. My favorite car all the beasts I have owned over the years.
My friend took this shot a few weeks ago and thought I'd share it.

you’re a braver man than me, wintering the 4S...just too low, and still too nice to suffer the consequences in the salt belt. On another note, I dumped the Focus RS after a drama filled 27 months, 7/8 winter wheel’s bent...two full sets. The latest, OZ Racing, didn’t last as long as Tire Racks house brand. Gone, but not forgotten...for the $$ lost in that scant 27 months of ownership, makes ownin most anything else look reasonable. Enter my latest DD...

Sorry to hear about the RS. I was too irritated and concerned about the engine to keep it after warranty. It just was too dicey.
Curious about your new DD! Don't leave me hanging.
About the 993: mine had 96k miles on it when I bought it. I put another 47k on it. I customized it. I have driven it hard. It was not going to be worth very much anyway so I just went all in with driving it all the time. Maybe in retrospect I should have done that differently. The upside is that I am seeing first hand whether the car can take it. So far the answer is absolutely.
On a related note...I was out doing a little snow drifting the other day and forgot to knock the snow out of the wheel barrels afterwards. I parked it in my stand alone garage. The temps were around zero. I came out a day and a half later to drive it to hockey at night and the car was shaking so heavily at speed that I had to pull off the road and knock some of the ice out of all the wheels with my hockey stick. Haha. It was crazy. I thought the wheels were going to pop off! I am thankful for that scene in My Cousin Vinny where he thinks his alignment is messed up but is told it is Mississippi mud lodged in his wheels. That kept me from freaking out about it!
Another day in paradise....
Take care,
Michael

Today...
The only downside in the winter is my alley and the ice encrusted berms. They will take off the bumper if I am not careful.
Salty and crusty! Just like no 993 owner wants their car to be! Haha.
