Bought my 993 11 yrs ago when I was 41. Turning 53 in a couple of weeks. Still feel the same as when I bought it, same giddy look on my face, stare back at the car when I park it, and excitement every time I drive it.

Ya gotta ask this on the DAY I switch from one category to another? LOL Just turned 51, owned a Porsche since 2001 - been dreaming about them since I saw my first 911 with a whale-tail (late 70's ish).

Thanks for all of the responses guys! Sorry about not adding a spot for those in their 20’s Andy...I thought I was only allowed to have 4 categories. Nothing personal against the younger generation!

Finally Purchased mine at 35. Caught the Porsche bug at 24 with a 996TT and then cemented it at 27 with my 996 GT3. The GT3 and 993 are both keepers for me.

Currently 47 and quickly greying (primarily because of my Italian wife). Was lucky enough to grow up around air-cooleds and was fortunately able to purchase my first 993 new in the spring of ‘96, followed by a ‘97 C2S in spring of ‘97, and ‘98 C2S in spring of ‘98. Subsequently had a ‘99 Boxster, ‘99 C2, and ‘00 C2 Cab. The water-pumpers just weren’t for me so I grabbed a ‘96 C2 cab in 2001 with only 4,000 miles on the clock - sold it in ‘02. I went Porsche-less until January of ‘15 when I bought a ‘95 coupe but sadly owned for only a week when the dealer called and offered to buy it back before I could even get a truck there to pick it up - been pissed-off at myself ever since for saying yes! Took me a few years to finally find another in June ‘18 that checked 9 out of 10 boxes for me - another ‘98 C2S.
