Default ...another silly question: Wheel center caps

For reasons not germane, looks like I need to get new wheel center caps for my Guards Red C2 (that sports what I believe are called Turbo Twists). I know I am way over-thinking these high-performance components of the car , but I thought I'd ask.

Normally I would have just searched for Porsche 993 wheel center caps, bought some that looked fine, and called it a day. But then I remembered that many people have particular views on various components and I didn't want to buy the "wrong one." Many I see claim to be OEM Porsche parts and some I wonder if they're genuine OEM. I also see those made of metal and those made of plastic and those with a painted Porsche crest and those with an inlaid Porsche crest and those with an external (raised) Porsche crest. Ideally I would like to be as close to original as possible. Any suggestions/recommendations? Pros/cons?

If plastic ones can be had, I would go for them as with some of the earlier Porsches the metal ones corrode and can make rattle noises
Don't think the type of center caps influence value as long as the fit and finish are good.

Overthinking, Buy 4 Chinese ones for $50 or 4 OEM ones for $200 and call it a day. Decide if you want the colored ones or black and silver ones and go from there. The Chinese ebay caps are of genera better quality than OEM. OEM tend to lose glued-on crests. All of them are plastic. There are also aftermarket metal one, used to be made in Italy.

PS. Are you sure your wheels are OEM? Are there two numbers on the wheel around the valve caps?

PPS. I think it's time to follow Viken and others outta here

I have metal ones on my chrome hollow twist wheels and they are fantastic! Keep some wax on them and they are awesome. I have the black plastic with painted crests on the other set of Twists I have and they are nice too. The metal ones have little flanges that can bend and therefore rattle - the plastic ones have set screws that keep, them in place

Default Caps for sale.

I recently bought a set from this seller on Craigslist. He is located in So. Cal. No affiliation other than a happy former customer. 75 bucks. They were brand new plastic style and look great.

Or $40 here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Four-OEM-Or...on=1000%7C1500

No affiliation and I love the "genuine original" in the description. Twilight would be happy.

There are also solver ones and they are cheaper if you are willing to wait for 2-3 weeks for hipping from China directly. They are an OK quality, I've held them along with OEM caps and metal Italian caps in my hands.

The cheap Chinese knock offs look good when new but the crest quickly fades in direct sunlight, Porsche ones dont but do cost about $50 a pop, anything cheaper and they are fakes, $40 a set should be tops for fakes

Whichever you choose, make sure you point them the proper way.

I've had a number of OEM ones fade, get scratched or simply shedding their glued-on crests. They are not of great quality for a $50 piece. I mean, it's just glue. How hard is it to glue a plastic crest to a plastic cap. especially when it's recessed. But noooooo.....
