Post "Hey Wait For Me" Racing stickers now available...

Hello Teammates

The stickers are in.

Here's the scoop on getting yours, as well as info on other team items.

STICKERS

They are the horizontal version with Princeton's turtle artwork on a white background. I had them made in a business envelope size for easy mailing.

You can use them as printed in a bumpersticker configuration, but they look great if you scissors trim them to within 1/4" of the image. (Machine die-cutting or printing on clear vinyl raised the price five-fold!!!!)

e-mail me your name (and what you post under if it's different) and address, and whether you want one or two. The first two are on The Founder. Additional quantities are $2 each. My e-mail address is mtnest1@flash.net

(Send me your team function as well. The cruse line is actually making Team Registrar and Hero, Danny, work this voyage, and he's had a tough time keeping up with the membership list.)

They look good on trailers, tool boxes and especially slow moving Porsches. (Come to think of it, in a couple weeks we should have a thread on the best application of a sticker...)

TEE SHIRTS

I also had a small trial run of white tee shirts with a 4 1/2" logo on the left front and our team motto in big letters on the back.

I said "small, trial run", because I wanted to see what the quality was like with this printing process. We have seven colors in the logo, so it becomes quite expensive to silk screen them. I want to see how the printing holds up to washing. No puckering for this team's wearables.

If you're e-mailing me for stickers, let me know if you'd want a shirt as well. If we order 50 to 100, we can get the price in the 10-15 range. Also let me know if you'd want short or long sleeve.

The stickers, tee-shirts and a 5 foot banner had their public unveiling at the Putnam Park PCA race this weekend.

The shirts and the stickers, were a hit at Putnam, surprizingly even with the PCA Race Steward and Scruts. We were by far the best-looking team at the Pig Roast.

HATS AND PATCHES

I have 50 caps on order, and they should arrive in early to mid-July. Evidently custom embroidery takes time. The hats will have the turtle logo stacked over team name. (The horizontal version would wrap halfway around the hat.) I don't have the final price yet, but they should be between 15 and 20 with a few bucks for shipping.

Patches are on a similar timeframe, and at a 3-4 cost.

WINDSHIELD HEADERS

I found a good-looking one at edecals.com They print it up with our team name on it.

It is item # WSD-126.

Use the face in the example, or Helvetica Bold from their font selection. Both are close to the offical team typeface.

It looks great and is only 25 bucks.

That's where we are right now.

We may not be the fastest, but we're the funnest.

Thanks for your efforts, Mike! I'm excited to see the artwork and will shoot you an email regarding my order.

Actually the first team wearables were underpants.

Check out the HWFM report from Road America Memorial Day weekend.

Are there any "Hey, Wait for Me" groupies? I'd offer myself up, but being a balding, slightly overweight male, I don't see you leaping at the opportunity. I can offer up my wife though. I haven't done a DE event yet, so all I.. err.. she would qualify for would be groupie...

You're not balding, you're aerodynamic. Many of us fit that category, especially when you add slightly overweight.

Hmm, no track time though...

Let's see, we can't have groupies--many of us are also married.

However, we always can use a roadie. Or pit crew. Take your pick.

Welcome to the team.

Shrinkage? No we can't have that.

Is that like turning turtle and hiding in the shell?

Princeton

Thanks for posting the pics. It's quite becoming on you.

PS I hope you don't mind your artwork being small, and my line being big...

Mike - Hehe no problem. Love the line on the back of the shirt. Any pictures of the big banner?

Sticker trimmed along the artwork and installed.

It was great meeting Mike, Eric, Greg, et al at Putnam Park this last weekend (I was only there for Friday, but what a day). I was lucky enough (?) to be added to the HWFM racing team. Official duties... Post-Race Banquet Clean-up crew, with the offer that if I do a good job for the first 10 or 20 events I may be promoted to clean-up crew manager! Needless to say I accepted on the spot!!!!

I'm looking forward to the next event...

Thanks Mike. I'll drop you an e-mail.

Just curious, any with my 3 favorite letters (XXL)? If I need to work on fitting into a regular XL, I might loose my Team Anchor responsibilities.
