Post Writers Wanted

Hello fellow Porsche fans. I’m a magazine publisher and am in the early stages of developing a new magazine dedicated to the cars we love so much. This new periodical will be like none other. I’m currently looking for editorial contributors. I’d like to find capable authors with expertise in model category (i.e. a 993 expert, a 944 expert, etc.). Along with looking for contributors I do have some full-time in-house (southern California) editorial positions available. Qualified candidates must, first and foremost, be passionate about Porsche automobiles, exhibit strong grammar and writing skills, be easy to work with, as well as have strong grasp of things technical and mechanical. All published contributors will receive compensation.

As I mentioned earlier I am in the early stages of putting things together. If you are interested please email me at mikev@rc411.com

Please include name, geographical location (city, state), and lastly why you feel you would be qualified to write for a first class periodical. After receiving your email I will be in touch within two weeks.

Thank you for your time.

Hey Mike,

Although I have a degree in Journalism, I don't consider myself a writer. I am a damn good photographer though.
Call me when you need some shots..

I live in L.A. and have a portfolio available by request.

Seth, email me with some information mikev@rc411.com

I'm sure we'll be looking for additional photography and I'd love to start a registery of local owners for photos when needed.

Thanks,

Mike

Danged, Ray, nice clean cut young fella like Mike hear drops in to spread the good word and you go off on him like that - you should be ashamed. Seems like he means no harm and is in no competition with John D or anyone else here, and besides, you're probably the most qualified with your technical knowlege, passion, and strong grammer skills-

I personally don't think of this particular posting as spam...well at least not as bad as some of the other postings I've seen, or the crap in my email box. I would consider this more an FYI...if he was trying to sell anything or advertise his new mag that would be different.

My $0.02.

Ray, thanks for your post. It's good to see that someone is looking out to keep things in order. However, I'd have to disagree with my post being labeled spam. I'm not selling anything, I did not post a link to a commercial website, I haven't even mentioned the name of the periodical. I commend your vigilance, but don't believe I'm breaking any rules.

Mike,

Just a suggestion but should you post something that you think someone may find objectionable you could e-mail the moderator, Viken, and ask him. I've found him fair and very accessible.

I have on an occasion or two posted items that I was not sure were allowed, so I asked Viken, who said they were ok, so I posted them. Afterwords I understand some people complained. Of course I can not control how people think so I don't worry about it. I think the Moderators are fair and frankly if your post was against the rules I think it would have been deleted by the Moderators.

Ron
