Default My next book is on the 993

Okay 993 owners I have been convinced by superior forces to make my next book on the 993.
The actual writing is a little way off yet (a few months) however I would like to start gathering images for the book.
I need high res digital images, slides, negatives or prints. You will also be asked to sign a form authorising the use of the images.
There are no free copies of the books. You supply the images for the love and glory of it. I would like to make that clear from the very beginning.
I need pictures of all models and versions from all around the world.
If anyone has seen my 964 book they will see the kind of detail that I need as well.
I would prefer the images be sent by post. Later on I will possibly ask people for more images but for now I would like to create a cd-rom library or get the slides and prints to the publisher for high res scanning.
What is supplied cannot be returned I am afraid.
So if you are interested please send your images and data about your 993 to
Adrian Streather
Guetli 1269
CH-9428
Walzenhausen AR
Switzerland.

If you only wish to submit a few images they can be emailed to
adrianstreather@rennlist.net

Image resolution needs to be around 2056 X 1500 in compressed jpg format.

If scanning images please do it at 300 DPI minimum. 600 DPI is okay but they will have to be put onto a cd-rom.

I look forward to hearing from all 993 version owners from model year 1994 to 1998.

Ciao,
Adrian

Best of luck with your project Adrian. Are you looking for all kinds of pictures or just "glamour shots"?

COOL! This is an opportunity for So Cal Malibu Fun Runners to gather and have our resident photographer MAX911 take some cool hi res individual and group shots of our cars for the book.

What do you say guys? MAX?

Dear Chuck,
When it comes to photos I take everything and anything. From group shots down to a sensor mounted somewhere. Dirty hands on pictures, including people doing up wheel nuts.
What I need to do is get what I can now, sort it all out (big job) and then see what I am missing.
Labels on the underside of the luggage compartment lids is something I always have to ask for. VINs. Paint labels.
No limits to your imaginations. You would be surprised what can be used, what is fun to use and well impressive even what you think is mundane can be used.
So I look forward to your images. My plan would be to have the book out like my 964 one was just in time for christmas. A lot will depend on how fast I get images, repair schemes etc.
Ciao,
Adrian

PS: If the 993 book is as successful as the 964 book there will be a book tour I am sure. The 964 book tour kicks of in April. Well that is the plan anyway.

Wunderbar. Please include in your emails or packages the model year as well please. All details are greatly appreciated.
993RS owners and other special model owners please include your VINs. This is not for publication and I will eat them when finished. I want to make sure I get the proper serial number range for each model year.
Too many mistakes out there already.

Adrian
