Hey Andy. I don’t think shipping either. If I recall correctly, the fronts were face down on top of the rears so the this edge was around that tape joint. To bend the wheel I would think the box would have evidence of an impact.
i don’t know if even dropping it would bend it but they are heavy so who knows.
I’m taking it to a wheel repair shop today so hopefully will be fine after.
i might have balance checked on all. I’m still skeptical of the rear without weights.

im-f’ing-possible for a reputable and professional installer NOT to notice that bend during mounting. looks like it was dropped or THEY hit a pot hole on the test drive; which i’m betting they performed. either way they need to pay for the repairs and they wouldn’t touch my car again. 1) 99.9% they caused the damage = nitwits/incompetence 2) if they didn’t notice the damage = liars/nitwits/incompetence. hope in the end it all turns out well. all the best.

It wasn’t a pot hole. That’s about the one thing I know for sure. The shop only had the wheels and I never mounted them on the car.
They’re at American tire and brake now. They are repairing the one wheel and road force balancing all. I should get them on Monday. Will find out if he was full of it on the no weight rear wheel. It sounded like a common repair for them.
wish I would have known this place earlier. This shop was great to work with.

I got the wheels back today. The bend was taken out of the one wheel. They did a great job. Can't tell where the bend was. They also road force balanced all wheels. The one rear that didn't have any weight took a little weight.
Thanks to Chuck for the American Tire and Brake recommendation. That shop is GREAT! Anyone in S. Orange county need a tire shop, that's a great place to go.

Couldn't the flat mark be from the tire claw? Or another part of the machinery. Just guessing.

They owe you either an entirely new wheel, or that wheel rebuilt to its previous condition, which would include a new barrel. A bent and repaired wheel isn't ideal, it is slightly fatigued now.

Nonetheless, car looks good!
