FWIW, I actually DID replace my 993.... with a Z06. They are really not comparable cars, other than both being sports cars. The 993 has much more character, better resale, build quality, materials quality and if properly maintained, will last longer. The Z06 is much cheaper to operate and maintain. On the track, the Z06 is faster but in stock form, it cannot survive (there are transmission and rear end cooling issues) in the summer here in the South. As for attracting attention on the road, it's not fair to compare my red coupe to a yellow Corvette, at least not in this country. People would harrass me in the 911 (jealous, I suppose, that my car cost more than their house) whereas in the 'vette I get thumbs up from the good-ole-boys and women flash me.

OK, not really.

I miss my Porsche, and I will own one again (it was my second). This is my third Corvette, and I'll probably always own one of them too.
