Techart 4-spoke in matching CG leather. No picture, no installation yet(stuck Torx screws).
Liked the feel of the thicker wheel and the thumb triangles at 11 an 2 o'clock. Nice perforated inserts that match the seat pattern. I think a good deal for $280.

I just put a 3-point factory leather/carbon fiber wheel on my Boxster in place of the 4-point wheel, which is the same wheel as is on the 993. I have a leather/CF 3-point wheel on order from Gert for my 993.

MOMO Trek

They have a black version that would look nice in more normal cars than mine.

Also I would have to say that the Techart wheel is one of the best feeling ones I've had the pleasure of seeing (in Danny's car DJF1).

Ahem... Thanks Princeton! It is the best feeling wheel indeed. That is what made me buy it. As soon as I put my hands on it that was it...
It is smaller than the original with the additional benefit of clearing my knees and it is 340mm in diameter. They also make a 320mm but I think its too small and it would obstruct the view of the instruments. It can be custom ordered like mine and the price is not for the faint of heart. Over $1000 for the wheel but IMO worth every penny.

Sorry don't have a picture but installed the 996 three spoke leather wheel. Love it! Bought the wheel on ebay for $50. Airbag cost $280. Mike W

I too have upgraded to the 3-spoke 996/GT3 steering wheel with the colored crest, and absolutely love it. The size is only minimally smaller than the original 4-spoke, but the feel is much better and as for the look - no comparison. Worth every cent, especially as the steering wheel is your 'interface' with the car every time you drive it.

Reuben, first time I have noticed your post. Don't know if you remember but you helped me locate the turbo at Bodymotion which I ended up buying. Just wanted to say thanks. Mike W

Mike,

I don't recall having done very much - however, I am thrilled to see that you have joined the 'fraternity', and that with a TT no less.

Happy and safe motoring,
Reuben

You've seen this "in person" but just to remind you.

It's Porsche Motorsport Wheel, so you have to pay $100 extra for that PORSCHE engraving but as we know, it is cool.

It's about 40-50 mm closer that stock wheel which I like and the grip is, well, it doesn't get any better than that.

Momo Millenium - smaller, light weight and looked a million times better in my "metallic interior".

I'll second Finn's recommendation. The Momo Porsche Motorsport wheel is awesome. I ran it on my '90, the cupcar came with one & I am putting one on the RSA over the Winter break. It's a sticky wheel!

My RUF came with a 14" Atiwa 3-spoke wheel. Please go here to see pics (I still know how to post pics here.)

Very substantial feel, and excellent thumb rest positions. I really love this steering wheel. Unfortunately, I can't even find Atiwa on the net.

I use the 993 RS steering wheel. Why? Well, just because it is used in the real RS. If they put a little girlie candycane wheel with tassles in the RS I'd probably use that too.
