The group buy pricing is 11% less than what I was quoted last week. Thanks for doing this Mr Chan

i can’t get anyone to confirm if I have to pay the 20% VAT on import to Canada. Can anyone who has bought them in the last 6 -12 months comment definitively on this for the US or Canada?

I think I have the first 8 people now still expressed interests in the GB...
I have sent Christine at Tramont few zip codes from both east coast and west coast to find out a range of shipping costs. Like Magdaddy said, I think 20% off list is a good deal and you are getting additional 11% off by going with GB than doing it alone! So for those are still interested, Let me know. Thanks.

I understood that VAT was EURO only...not N. America. Someone with better knowledge should chime in.

Correct. My experience has been that VAT only applied to products that are purchased and remained (consumed) within the EU. For products purchased in the EU and shipped to the US, only the US Import Duty applies. I think they simply included "plus VAT" on their quote out of habit, and it may very well be already printed on all of their price lists.

Anyone who has visited the EU may have noticed the VAT refund booths at certain airports. This is so you can apply for a VAT refund on items purchased that you will be carrying back to the US personally. If, by chance, Tramont does charge us VAT, we can apply for a VAT refund, but it is an extra step and ties up funds for no reason ... just my $.02 ...

Hi Jackson, got your info. Thanks!

For those are still interested, if you haven't done so, can you send me your full name and email address so I can add you to the spreadsheet?
Also, if you know what offsets you are going with let me know that too. Thanks.

Sent you my info Andy.

For NB reference: I'm planning to get 8.5x18 ET52 ; 10x18 ET6559

I have looked at every Thread on Rennlist regarding Tramont off set for 993s. It is overwhelming. Particularly for someone that has little knowledge on the subject.

The below Thread by Jlaa back in 2014 has me leaning towards
8.5x18 ET52 for the front and 10x18 ET58 for the rear.

This is basically Tramont recommends for NB -1 on the rears.

I was going with the same as you or p-daddy’s sizes . I was just going back through and noticed 8.5 in front but then I read that original 993 RS speedlines are 8 X18 et 52 up front or are they 8.5x18 ET 52?

I'm back and forth on the ET's and sizing as well...but leaning towards 18x8.5 ET 52 Fronts and 18x10 ET 59 Rears on a NB

Same here. I thought ET65 on the rear would give me the option to use 285 tires without risking rubbing issues. In reality, I'll probably never go wider than 265. I figured I'd use a 5mm spacer if I wanted a little wider look. Now, I'm thinking of waffling back to ET59.

Hi:

Here are the 12 people still in the GB that I have recorded in my spreadsheet, can you guys confirm the offset and zip codeI have or let me know your wheel offset if you have not done so? I am still waiting for Tramont to provide shipping quotes for few of the east and west coast zip codes. I think they will only work on Monday this week due to France bank holidays, so hopefully I will hear back from them today for the quote. For those that are still interested but not in the list, please send me your full name, email address, wheel offsets, and shipping zip, I will add you to the list. Thanks.
(btw, if someone can let me know how to display spreadsheet in the post will be helpful too.....=P)

By the way, not sure if I have posted this earlier, for the GB my thinking is once we have all the buyers' info (name, email, wheel size and offset, shipping zip...etc.), I will send one email to Christine at Tramont with a list of all the buyers and copy you all. Then each individual can follow up with her to arrange payment and shipping. Not sure if this is the best way to so if you can think a better way to approach this please let me know!
Feel free to let me know if there are any questions too. Thanks!

Andy

I'm a satisfied customer of Tramont for the past 12 years and I can say that these wheels deliver in all respects. I have a set of OEM Speedlines in the basement which are too precious to put on the car but the Tramonts have been a great substitute. In my view they are better than Speedlines in corrosion resistance, look almost identical and at the prices quoted you can enjoy them without worrying about potential NLA issues which impact Speedlines.

The sizes on my Narrow Body are:
Front: 8.5x18 ET 52
Rear: 10x18 ET 59

I have run both 265 and 285 tires on the rear and have had no rubbing issues front or rear, also with higher camber settings.
Photo from a Slalom run last weekend. Can recommend (no affiliation etc.).
Export prices outside the EU should be excluding VAT (which is only payable in the country of consumption), then you may/will have to pay local import and sales taxes wherever you live.

Do you know if the rears in NB fitment 10x18 ET59 clear big red rear 993 TT calipers?
