Ok Guys, just heard back from Tramont last night. Didn't realize it was holiday over there yesterday that's why the delay...
Basically it will be 20% off the listed price on their website (I think included VAT: http://www.tramont.fr/tramont-tarifs_en.html) with minimum order of 8 sets. Which I think is additional 10% off from the price they quoted us in the U.S. before without VAT. I also asked about our potential 20 sets but they said 20% is the best they can do. So for
8,5 x 18 - Listed price: euro 669 €, GB price euro 535,20 €
10 x 18 - Listed price euro 726 €, GB price euro 580,80 €
11 x 18 - Listed price euro 763 €, GB price euro 610,40 €

Below is what the email said:
"Please find enclosed our public prices exclusive of VAT
For an order of at least 8 sets (either wide or narrow body) we could grant you 20% discount (i.e. 8,5 x 18" : 535,20 € unit price / 10 x 18 : 580,80 € unit price).
For the shipment costs we need to know the zip code of each customer"

So, for those definitely want to be in on this GB, please pm me your full name and email address. I think I will compile them into a spreadsheet and forward it to Tramont and copy you all in the email to calculate the individual shipping. By the way, they are able to ship worldwide. Thanks.

Andy

That doesn’t make sense to me. The price list says ‘inclusive of vat’ and they are offering a 20% discount from the list but that is ‘exclusive’ of vat? If that is the case, wouldn’t they just say a 10% discount off of their public price list?

Not sure why, but I thought that might be just a language thing that they meant we from the U.S. getting 20% off listed price and no VAT?
Anyhow, I am just going with the pricing examples they gave "i.e. 8,5 x 18" : 535,20 € unit price / 10 x 18 : 580,80 € unit price" which are exactly 20% off their listed price.
Attached is the price list in pdf they sent to me which is the same as their website prices. I can also email them and ask for clarification.

Thanks Andy.

Can someone confirm what the VAT rate is? I looked around and it appears to be 20%. If that is the case, we are getting no discount at all vs the posted price list?

The pdf you attached says VAT included right at the top of the page...

I am open to correction here, but I believe VAT is only applied to products that are shipped within the EU. Being that we are across the pond, VAT may not apply in our case.

Not sure what the VAT rate is (I thought was 10%?), but here is the reply from Christine at Tramont:

"The prices we gave you were exclusive of VAT as the wheels have to be customs cleared and tax and customs duties are to be paid when receiving the wheels.
For a group order of minimum 8 sets prices are with 20 % discount :

- 8,5 x 18" : 535,20 EUR unit

- 10 x 18" : 580,80 EUR unit

- 11 x 18" : 610,40 EUR unit

+ tax and customs duties and shipment.

The confirmation of order of the 8 sets must be made all at once (not 1 set a week than an other 2 weeks later, etc...)

Best Regards"

To confirm these are the final prices were being offered plus import duty, taxes and shipping?

From what ive read most ppl only pay shipping $300-$600 depending on quote and location and $50 or so in duty.

Seems most ppl will be around $3100-3300 USD with current exchange rates

Tramont just sent me another email to clarify, so the prices are the same as the pdf I attached before just now excluded VAT. Not sure who is Mr. Kane?
"As Mr Kane has pointed out, there was a mistake in the price list I previously sent you, as it was written "VAT included" which is not the case. Please find the correct price list exclusive of VAT.

I do apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Best Regards"

20% discount on a group buy, that’s an exceptional discount. Remember, you have a choice of multiple colors for the centers too. A smoking set of wheels, at a very reasonable price. Ya...I’m biased.

Great work Andy.

Time to buck up peeps...
