When the Cayenne was first being released, Porsche had a press event at the Barber Motorports complex. They had about 25 Cayennes parked inside a tent behind the Sheraton and one parked outside. I got this picture of my car next to it.

From the inside the 993 feels a lot smaller than the 997 GT3. This shows that the cabin is more narrow.

 

 

I'm 6'4", and I love how small these are.

 

Either these trucks are very big or my car is very small

My son got in the 993 for the first time in years (sold one in 2012 and just got another recently). He's used to my 981 Cayman S. Upon sitting in the 993, he says "this car is much narrower than the Cayman." And he's right, especially inside, but the funny thing is I bought the Cayman and not a new 911 because it was a more reasonable size for a sports car--yet it is still much bigger than the 993....
