DME Failure Again
Just a reminder to ALWAYS have a spare DME relay in your glove box. I went for a ride today because the weather was nicer than it has been in a long time - 68 degrees! Stopped to get an ice cream at the DQ and the car would not start - just turns over but does not catch. I sat there for about a minute and remembered the last time this happened - bad DME relay! So I reached in the glove box, got a new DME, popped the frunk, opened the fuse box and switched out the DME relay - and the car started up with no issue. So again - carry that spare DME in your car.

Outstanding!
Save the old one as the case is easily pried open and the fractured solder joint is plainly visible and easily reheated, your original relay can become your spare for the future.
If you add a few wire filaments to the solder joint that cracks the relay may last the life of the car next time you replace one!

Hey Cactus - just hanging out at the beach in Delaware near Bethany Beach. You going to the swap meet next weekend? Looks like I will if the weather is not too bad. See you there?
