Default Part # for Rear HiFi Factory speaker connector

Hi all, Looking to replace the factory connector that plugs into the Hifi rear speakers, ones with the tweeter dome. Hoping that someone may know of the part number or where a source to get something like this.

thanks,
rob

Is this the piece you are referring to[circled]?

The PET only shows the entire speaker harness - of little help, I know.

What are the markings on the part? I needed a part for the HiFi option door speaker and was able to track it down based on the part # on the connector. It was a BMW part!

unfortunately no markings on the speaker side at all, the connector is molded as part of the woofer basket. You may be on to something re BMW, I think I see a small roundel on the back of the tweeter, but there is no discernible markings on back to work from.

I went through the same thing recently. My car had the standard speakers with butchered harness. I upgraded to the hi-fi speakers but I couldn't find the connectors. In the end I used 6.4mm (i think!) female spade connectors.

the part is the same as VW from the 1990s era ... the following are the matching plastic sockets for the plugs in the 993 and the wires to fit these:

VW SpeakerConnector: 1HO-906-712
VW Repair Wire: 000-979-129

You can see how I used these in the attached write up...

I knew there would be a VW/Audi cross. what you listed above is for the female connector, also its NLA, with the male pins to recreate the speaker side connection and Metra has that as a speaker harness kit via crutchfield if needed. The car side has is part # 191906231A which is the flat connector that goes into the speaker and i hope you all are sitting for this, its cheaper from Porsche vs. VW/Audi. The repair wire used for it is 000979025E that has 2 female connectors on it so you need one wire per flat connector, part # 191906231A and cut in half to create a usable replacement for the car side splice.
