1995 Aventurine Green 993 For Sale
I was at my indy shop in Syracuse the other day picking up some summer wheels/tires for my MDX. The shop owner had a 1995 Aventurine Green/Marble Gray 993 in the shop that he purchased from a local owner on the lift. I gave it a once over and it's a very sharp car and looks unmolested except for the aftermarket radio (old one included).
Thought I'd pass this along - I love this color and I know it's popular with the 993 gang and certainly everyone seems to like the 1995 year for a number of reasons. Not sure of the bloodlines of the car or the documentation that comes with it.
No affiliation and the usual disclaimers.

I inquired about it. They want around $57k. Nice car. Love the green. Not so much the gray but it wouldn't stop me if I were in the market.
I sold a 96 and bought a 95 after years of painful state inspections to do with non-resetting readiness codes. In some states, the lack of ODB2 is a good thing. Lack of SAI also a plus. No immobilizer also a winner.

It’s a nice car and yes those are the reasons I’ve read that people prefer the ‘95. Not a fan of the add on look of the third brake light but that’s fixable. I think that Marble Gray or Cashmere are the two best colors w the green.

I’m actually strongly considering buying this car. Anyone in the area and can tell me if it’s in as good of shape as it looks in the pics? Does the price seem fair? I’ve never had an air cooled Porsche and have been looking for a nice one.

Many things to consider for fair pricing. It seems like a very clean car but you’ll also need to consider owner hx, maintenance hx, records, accidents, original paint, options, etc. I would reach out to the OP Mike Capp to request a closer inspection. From the pics, one thing that caught my eye is some dampness on the cat. Probably weeping timing chain covers blowing back when driving.

? not sure what you said there.
I did call the guys and had a nice conversation with them. He is going to do a face-time with me to walk around the car this afternoon, and point out any imperfections in the paint, etc... I'm looking for an alternate car to my 991 Turbo, and am torn between a 993 and 997. Deep down, i think i want the 993, but know i would be plenty satisfied with a 997 as well. I don't live near any of the good cars that are available, so it would all be sight unseen. This seems to be a reasonable example for the money they are asking, compared to others i see out there.

I think this car looks great. I would definitely appreciate any info you learn if you decide to pass.
