I love how Jiaas's looks, but concerned with anything perforating tank/bladder. I want a little protection, because I drive to track, and frunk gets full. I know carpet isn't much, but it'll chafe before the tank/wiring etc....

i have considered attaching some balsa wood or similar thin material to the underside of the carpet with velcro. perhaps the pieces can be cut to shapes that firm up the whole thing a bit.

I'd love a carpeted version of the carbon-fiber piece shown above. While my trunk carpet is in excellent shape, its fit reminds me of geriatric Shar-pei. Every time.

If someone produced affordable panels to line the frunk, I'm sure more than 50% of 993 & 964 owners would buy this.

Enhanced Trunck liner ... Digital Printer DIY? ??
It seems one could buy some plastic sheeting on eBay, use the stock trunk liner as a starting point for a cardboard template and cut the sheeting to form a semi rigid liner that looks quite nice. AN alternative would be to do the same with some foam backed indoor/outdoor carpet sheets. Doesn't seem that complicated to do as a DIY project.

I'd be happy with the 993 RS stock carpet look. If someone could replicate for less than $450

Extra Velcro does help quite a bit. Home improvement stores have Velcro mounted on peel-and-stick tape, making it easy to fill in the gaps in the factory attempt at securement. Another thing that helps some is a piece of coat hanger or music wire inserted along the top edge of the storage pouch at the rear of the carpet. I haven't tried it, but a steam iron might also produce a smoother carpet.

Southbound Trimmers in UK do a RS style frunk carpet for approx £200, comes with a pocket. You could modify an existing carpet as above (and I think that one looks very neat) but must be pretty simple to get one custom made. The RS one has the funny edge profile for the battery cut off

The floor panel portion is the easier piece to make.
The harder pieces to make are the back & side portions. This is why I was hoping someone in the industry would comment on this.
The siding of the frunk area had subtle curves but trying to line these bends & curve is not as easy as cutting a couple of pieces of plastic sheets. The idea was it improve the look of existing sloppy carpet liner to something more form fitting to cover & protect the frunk area.

Spoke to someone at Gunther Werks, and their 400R frunk liner is made in house. No plans to offer individually, but "may" in future. Best bet, would be to locate someone who fabs carbon fiber, and work with them.

Isn't the Gunther works car widened in the front?
