I've always hated the way the carpet fits in 911s; at least up through the 993 series. I would certainly be interested in this.

Years ago I remember seeing a "Brazilian Cut" on a 993 frunk liner. Very nice. The Rennlister had the carpet trimmed and the edges welted and surged. The frunk was detailed impeccably, and all the cool mechanicals and electronics in the fender areas exposed. May have even had a strut brace. Looked great. Food for thought. Ask your wife, she may know a guy.

I'm surprised Porsche didn't change from the sloppy carpet liner to a molded plastic like these or like the molded/formed carpet liners like you see in all other car trunks.
Shipping for the above examples would be expensive... so why not make these in separate panels(top battery/tank cover, sides, front, back & bottom) that you can attach together by twist fasteners & velcro.

I like that idea LexVan! Maybe just cover the floor with something unique. Black ABS product could be nice compliment depending on paint color.
The other side is to go all out custom. I can see something singer style. Don't like the Gunther carbon. I know how that stuff ages and it would look like crap in no time.

I hate the sloppy looking trunk liner too. When I then installed the strut tower brace, I decided to trim the carpet. My wife helped me welt the edges of the carpet. I am sure a pro could do a nicer job, but I am quite happy w the result 4 years on and very appreciative of my wife ...

It seems one could buy some plastic sheeting on eBay, use the stock trunk liner as a starting point for a cardboard template and cut the sheeting to form a semi rigid liner that looks quite nice. AN alternative would be to do the same with some foam backed indoor/outdoor carpet sheets. Doesn't seem that complicated to do as a DIY project.

I would buy one of these. I have never liked the front trunk carpeting since my first porsche a 1967 912 in 1971.
