Visual differences for the 993’s?
Not much, really, to tell 95-98 apart.
Obviously, the TT has its tail, and that started in '96. As stated already, all 98s are widebodies. Any other widebodies you see sans TT tail will be a C2S or C4S, and these are visually distinguisable only by the the latter's BigRed calipers. They share the nose/rocker panels of the TT, so no help there, but I think widebodies started with the '97.
Narrowbodies have a different nose and rockerpanels. 1995s built early on will have the "baskethandle" third-brake light, while later 1995 and all '96 narrowbodies will be "handle-less."
Tagas are, well, Targas, and look like Targas. From the profile, the dead giveaway will be the back quarterwindows: they'll end in a point, not rounded off like all the coupes.
Forget about which rims belong on which car....too many folks change theirs.
Hope this kind of helps.
