Hi JPS,
We haven't decided on the driving route yet but most likely we'll go to the backroad of Hwy 1, 84, 92, 35 and around that area. The drive will probably last for ~1.5 hour.

I'd love to join you so as to put faces to all your screen names. Unfortunately that's the week-end of my co-workers Xmas "do".
However, that route forms the greater part of my commute from Santa Cruz to San Francisco ( better by far than the freeway or Hwy 17 ! ) so I offer the following to the lucky participants:
CHP LOVES speeders on Hwy 9 from Saratoga to the meeting point and ditto on 35 (between 9 and 84)and 84 to La Honda ( 'cos that's where the Kamikase bikers go at the weekends ). Check out 9 down to Big Basin if you have time, the surface is really smooth.
Maybe next time. Cheers <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the heads up. We're planning to obey the speed limit (45mph?)
Olav,
We'll probably pass by Alice, however we're not sure what time will that be. If you can meet us at the Vista point at 7:00AM, that will be great
Terry,
I'm really looking forward to meeting you again
Thanx guys...

Wow... thanks for the replies guys
At first it was only Oleg and I who are thinking about going for a drive but now we have a bunch of friends coming as well. That's really cool... This will be a very informal/impromptu drive and I am hoping for a good socializing time as well.
So far the people who plan to come are:
1) Oleg (993)
2) Jeff Chan (993TT)
3) Bill and Michele (993TT and 87 Carrera)
4) John Hua (996 C4S)
5) Anthony (993TT)
6) Terry Adams (993 C2S)
7) Tom W and wife (993 Cab)
8) Clive (996 C4S)
9) pin (993 C4S)
Btw on a different subject, some friends from the Rennlist (DJ, Mark Dalen, Kim Ouye) will be at Sears Point this coming Monday/Tuesday for the Tracquest (www.tracquest.com) DE event. Check it out if you can

Pin, I'm spending Friday nite at the HMB ritz (office event) so I might be able to sneak out Saturday morning while my wife is still asleep to meet you guys, at least to say "hello" if not to go for the drive itself. It looks like the meeting point isn't too far from the hotel.

Sounds good, Kevin.
Yes the meeting place is not that far from the Ritz Carlton. I believe you just need to take Hwy 1 North and then Hwy 92 East. Hwy 35 will then be at your right hand side (right turn).
Thanx

Kevin, it's about 15 minutes from the Ritz to the top of 92 at Skyline at that time of the morning. Maybe faster if you don't get a slow-poke in front of you on 92. Be careful in town as the local cops are out early partoling highway 1. I got stopped at 5:45 a.m. one Saturday on the way to an autocross. I was lucky (and a local), he gave me a warning ticket. The last one in his book.

Kevin: Yes. I keep putting the money into car mods instead of a V-1. At 5:45 I was more than a little sleepy and not paying close attention to the speed. Between my bleary eyes, darkness and fog, I never even saw him until he was behind me and turned on his lights.
