Let's keep the bumperette word !

It's a 100% american word (it's not a french who invented that), like the object themselves, which are only on the US models.
And it sounds just like those things look !

It's the perfect word !

Just blame the facts that here, you can get a license in 2 days for 20 bucks, drive while eating a burger in one hand, calling on the cell phone in the other. That's probably the reason why oversized bumpers became a norm ? :-)

It's HUMOR, guys, c'mon! Who has "declared a moritorium" on bashing Bush or the US? Political affiliations aside, lets be truly fair about this and see who's been bashed most (most air time/paper time). Better yet, let's not discuss such an obvious point and get back to letting people think and speak their minds, even if, and especially when, it does run across our own political ideologies. We're all mature guys (and some fems from what I gather) here so let's enjoy the humor, dissent and criticize if we like, but let's not get crazy and talk "moritoriums" (and if you guys were just fooling, oops on my part ) ; nor should we get personal. I don't know about you all here, but I haven't, nor will ever, avoid discussions about politics/religion/sex just because they're taboo topics; moreover, I will speak my mind and welcome, and have welcomed, many a dissenting voice...it's great! Think about it: fleshing out ideas, hammering out ideologies, debunking popular myths, and all with civility and mutual respect. Heck, it's not only a mental gymnastics, it's fun! So peace to my brothers and sisters on the other side of the aisle.


PS: "bumperettes" IS an appropriate word for the ridiculous piece it describes...I'm keeping it
