Funny stuff, Edward! But what comes after the McLaren F1?

They come from the factory w/ piston squirters and intake ports that look like they are for a 502 big block. With mild turbo upgrades they will make a solid 385 fly wheel horse ( big 16G ) . You can spin them really fast, they last. And the AWD tsi cars make amazing rally cars <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

SO, what makes you think that every car has to have the same purpose as yours?

Listen... I own a Dodge Stealth [read that as a Mitsubishi VR4]. It has Dave Buscher Racing ported and polished heads and a BOV but everything else is stock and it'll beat the sh*% out of my C4 and I'm willing to bet most peoples cars on the TT Board here as well... But you know what, it's literally my station car at my summer house... yes all four wheels turning make it almost impossible for it to leave the road but I haven't driven it once since I bought my C4 coupe and I sold it's rare sister [a factory conv with only 800 ever made - the Turbo S of Japanese cars] and bought my Silver C4 Cabriolet 4 months after buying the C4 coupe.

Let make an analogy to women: Although my VR4s may have been just amazing in the bedroom... and my C4s never will be as acrobatic... there is, in the long run, something to be said for grace, poise and conversation and the VR4 lacked all those subtleties that I most prize in my Porsches...
And lets not also under rate I was always just embarrassed to be seen in public with my VR4s. There was a personal joy those twin turbos [especially the hardtop] were to drive on small roads, fall nights, top down in the Hamptons...

But... my C4s are like a breathtaking woman who you know instantly upon seeing her smile will be every bit as beautiful at 60 as she is today...

My advise: Tell the guy in the Talon to call a hooker...

Be happy with your car! Yes there may be better cars, and there always will be better cars than yours on the street. But think of it this way, how many Talons/Eclipses have won major racing events? Probably not many. Porsche has a history that goes back for decades, everything from Le Mans to your local SCCA events.

And also, it is not always the car but the nut behind the wheel that alot of times makes the difference.

I just wanted to add my .02 on the performance of the S2000. I don't know about its launch performance, but I can speak (verify) to its track performance.

I know a driver who used to run a 911SC at the Streets of Willow. He used to run 1:27s in stock form (i.e. no mods & street tires). He later purchased an S2000 and ran 1:20s on the same track. That REALLY caught my attention. So, it maybe a Honda, but it can deliver on the track.

Rich

PS: I'm not saying the S2000 is 7 seconds quicker than an SC, because I have a very good friend who can run 1:22s @ the Streets in his stock SC. Perhaps the S2000 is just easier to drive.
