Appreciate the kind words Doc...

My car is my escape.... Always working on something. The engine, however was the product of necessity and a bunch of friends that like spending my money!

How often do you track that beast of yours? I lust for a faster car than my 282 hp 1997 993 C2. But without a track to play on, I am afraid I'd just be wasting my $$$ because while my 911 is only a medium speed Porsche, it's still plenty fast enough for the public roads. Perhaps I can interest you in a trade? Your 993 for my 993 and I'll throw in a Rotax DD2 kart for good measures (it drives like a mini formula car). This way you can build another beast and improve on what you learned from the first time around? Not interested? Dang ... at least I tried. You guys still do the cars and coffee thing-a-ma-bob in Marda Loop?

No exchange possible.... It would take quite the check to have me even consider letting it go....

She gets tracked as much as time allows, driving to Edmonton is a pain in the a$$ but she still gets regular exercise, its the whole reason it was built.

Cars and Coffee is now at Cardel Homes in Quarry park, same time.

Just don't expect to run it on pump gas.

Naturally, turbochargers provide greater peak power, but the feel, sound, & throttle response are all totally different.

Apples & potatoes, really. Both are edible of course, but taste completely different.

Its VERY hard to beat the overall experience that a large-displacement engine with six-throttles operating up to 8K RPM provides.

Is it possible to have over 400bhp on a 993 S but keep it NA??
Yes. I've done it.

Amen to that... I love turbo cars, have all my life, but the sheer joy of cracking those 6 throttles and hear the engine ingest massive amounts of air, mixing it with fuel and converting it into forward motion is intoxicating!!!

Really

Have you had any experience building engines to make 40% more HP than their original pretty well optimized design??
It's not easy / cheap and staying NA

Cheers
