2020 NEXT GENERATION 992 SPY PICS & RELEASE
#1051
The new cars are way more rounded and bulbous than the squarer old ones though. Which is why those brutal wheel arches are perfect on the 80’s cars, and look odd on some 992 pictures.
On a separate note, I can put my 991.1 next to just about anything and I think it’ll vastly visually outshine it or hold its own with the best of them. The ONLY time my car looks “blah” is when it’s next to an air cooled 911. Those cars are so defined and have such soul and legend to their look. Even the flawless 991 can’t keep up.

Hope indeed.
Corrected for him
""Walliser added that the industry-wide shift towards forced induction "is mainly driven by emissions regulations" and thatspecial Porsches like including, but not limited to the GT3 will remain turbo-less for as long as said regulations will allow. "The uniqueness comes from the normally aspirated engine," said Walliser said. "As long as we can do it, we will do it." LOL
And great news for MT 3 pedals too!

Walliser isn't a decision maker...........Blume is. Moreover other than the LMP1 win (with a 2l turbo hybrid) the motorsport division got creamed by turbo charged cars and the emphasis has shifted to Formula E.
If Porsche want to make an "enthusiasts" car, call it the 911 T add some form of NA engine and the option of NA/PDK and rear seat delete/add.
Ensure the GT3 can get the job done by making it a twin turbo.
The only people that could object to this solution are the badge buyers.
I did note this - "In an email to The Drive, a Porsche spokesperson refused to comment on Walliser's statements."

Love that quote from Walliser (I’ve seen similar said by GT division engineers before) and couldn’t agree more.

it has a Tesla like roundness to it which I’m not sure I like yet. It may be one of these things that grow on you, but it’s not love at first sight.

Could be because of the slight wide angle of that image, but my initial reaction to that 992 rear was not a good one. Big, blocky and seems to lack the grace of the curves of the 991. Just my humble opinion.
