Default Winter Hibernation

Hi Folks.... Pretty soon we will have snow and ice and my 911 will go into hibernation on a charger.... With regards to the gas tank.... is it better to have it on the empty side, or full, or etc... thank you for any advice..

add fuel stabilizer to full tank; if you're storing on new concrete, put a tarp down underneath the entire car

Search is your friend. Google, chat, any of these could have gotten you your answer.

Even better, you would have avoided silly responses about tarps and things for your wheels.

I have read that it is ok to have only 1/4 tank, but I don't recall the merits of only 1/4 vs full. I would prefer 1/4 tank so less gas to get stale.

Any thoughts on having only 1/4 tank of gas.

Gas really doesn't go stale anymore. I have a car that I maybe drive 10 times a year, and I never had a fuel issue with it.

I feel like I'm being punked...
1. You fill your tank to reduce condensation
2. You use fuel stabilizer (STA-BIL is best) to prevent the fuel from getting stale (which, yes, it does)
3. Fill the tires to 45 PSI to prevent flat spots - do not exceed max on tire
4. Consider covering the car - BUT ONLY IF IT IS CLEAN. Car covers over a dirty car scratch.
5. Put the car on a batter tender
6. DO NOT START THE CAR until you are ready to take it out of hibernation. See condensation comment above.
7. Consider changing the oil BEFORE storage - not AFTER. This is just a best practice, not the end of the world either way.

I wouldn't punk you-I don't even know what that term means (lol)

Just pointing out that I have read opposing views on how much gas one should leave in the tank and wanted to get constructive feedback.
