I considered ordering illuminated door sills on the Cayenne but decided it wasn’t an important expense but I did add the puddle lights. The used Targa I bought has the illuminated door sills which I really like. Adds to the fun of opening the Targa doors. Now I wished I would have ordered on the Cayenne. Need to add puddle lights to the targa. I like some of the after market ones so need to shop around.

It's a major PITA to do and when researching whether I should do it myself, I even found someone who dented the actual sill trying to remove them.
Had mine retrofitted at the dealer. Puddle lights however are gay IMO
Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions...and even their own offensive or derogatory posted comments....
But there aren't too many 992 options if any that don't cater to some type of buyer at some level.
For me, I live in a desert community that does not have sidewalks or very many streetlights. What I do have are dangerous desert creatures (rattlesnakes).
Those Puddle lights you despise allow me to see what I'm about to step into or on when exiting my car...they could literally be a life saver.
