For sure get them. I have them with the carbon trim and they look so cool, especially at night.

They make me smile every time I get into the car when it’s dark. Well worth it. I also like the ambient lighting inside.

I was planning to ditch the puddle lights because I don't like them as much. But yours are incredible.
I read that you have to get the original lights, in order to get an upgrade like yours. Is this accurate?

I have a 992.1 GTS that came with the puddle lights from factory (I think its just simple glow). I didn't need to select the optional puddle lights.
As I stated above, they are definitely bougie!

If they haven't changed things, all cars except the 3RS will come with lights. All you have to do is swap them out with whichever you choose. I've done it on a 2023 GTS and a 2024 GT3. The 3RS is another story. No light or wiring if you didnt option the $300+ Born in Flacht puddles.

Of course I didn't option it but wound up needing them:

I just went out to the garage and took this photo for you.

I have both too and love them.

Hate the puddle lights as I think the projection stuff is cheesy, but that's clearly just me. The sills, however, I should have spec'd. I know rumor is it's a difficult retrofit, but how bad is it if anybody knows?

It looks and works great except for all the dirt that gets under there. Needs at the minimum a yearly cleaning. And I regularly lose screws, bolts, washers, etc under there. Definitely love hate.

It’s not that bad if you’re decently mechanically inclined. There is a DIY on the forum.

I considered ordering illuminated door sills on the Cayenne but decided it wasn’t an important expense but I did add the puddle lights. The used Targa I bought has the illuminated door sills which I really like. Adds to the fun of opening the Targa doors. Now I wished I would have ordered on the Cayenne. Need to add puddle lights to the targa. I like some of the after market ones so need to shop around.
