Default Actual 0-60mph for 992.2 GTS (RWD)

Hello everyone, since many new GTS 992.2s have been delivered, I’m curious to know the actual 0-60mph time for the RWD car. Who has tested it? In the specifications, it’s listed as 3.0 seconds, but it seems strange since the AWD version has the same time.

Hi! I clocked about 2.6 seconds 0-60 (not laser exact, but pretty close), and the butt dyno agrees this thing is quick from a launch.

Motor is in the rear, tires and pressures, and electronic traction control optimizes power to those tires.

I'm sure the actual road surface plays a part in this as well as temperature and how dry that surface actually is.

The time listed on the Porsche website for the GTS is 0-60 mph in 2.9 s, the 0-100kmh is 3.0 s.
Looking at cars with much higher horse power have lower 0-60 times.
One of the other things that is also interesting is that there is no difference in AWD or RDW.

the Porsche quoted times are basically always understated where people in good conditions commonly beat them, even including rollout ( as some car mags will exclude the rollout ).

4WD. Pretty warm day. Decent altitude. Probably had the AC on. Still beats Porsche's stated 2.9.

Electric Turbo makes it so you don't need to shock the tires loose on the launch to get away in the powerband. We added an Electric turbo to a Big Turbo Miata recently and were very surprised on pretty old tires it shaved .3 off the 0-60 and it was all straight out of the hole from not having to shock the tires to launch in boost.

There seems to be diminishing returns on 0-60 times the higher you go with HP

Cars with 800, 900, even 1000 hp might only shave a tenth of a second or two off of 0-60 times.

The real gain seems to be in quarter mile times or trap speeds, yes?

well yes bc you get limited by traction and also since a car with that kind of power generally has a fast time, it’s more and more difficult to shave off a tenth. Just like it’s easier for someone who runs a 15 sec 100m dash to shave off a tenth than someone who runs a 10 sec one.
