Icing on the cake is my car just passed state inspection with no issues. So my experience with Scott's tune has been great and the injectors are fine!

Glad to hear. I remember your issues with that other tune. It’s nice to know your car is running great now. It looks the business too.

Thanks! Should also mention that I had it corner balanced too. Car weighs 3,307 with a half tank of gas. Pretty good power to weight ratio I'd say...

Excellent thread, Scott, thanks for sharing the intel.

I am moving my questions from email to this forum, as others might find this relevant as well.

I have 992 T MY2023, 7-MT.

Is there an option for 450HP, with more torque at lower RPM? Not higher RPM.

My 992 T has 385PS @6’500 and 450Nm @1’950

IIRC 992 S had 450PS @6’500 and 530Nm @2’300

IIRC 992 GTS had 480PS @6’500 and 570Nm @2’300

I don’t want to trade PS for Nm at higher RPM. I would be more excited about higher Torque at lower RPM, e.g. 530Nm but at 1’950, not 2’300 RPM

thanks again for all the detailed info.

Yes I can have it make more TQ lower and less end at the top or less at the bottom and more to the top etc yet it all as in any turbo depends on the turbo itself and when it can generate the TQ to adjust the curve etc. The 991.2 or the 992 cars isn't much of an issue yet most like it to come on in more of a natural state of progression than all of a sudden like the old 930's used to be.

Semper Fi!

My first P-car was an '87 930...you do not want that kind of torque response on a modern P-car!

Yes, I agree. The 992 T has got a smaller Turbo, which probably explains why it delivers TQ at 1’950 RPM, while 992 S and GTS have larger turbo which probably explains why it delivers TQ at 2’300 RPM.

Can you share the figures that I can expect?

It’ll be an ear-to-ear horsepower & torque grin. Just do it! Don’t overthink this process and let Scott do what he does best……many decades n’runnin!

Why dont you call me as I'm not sure what you specifically want as yes the turbos are smaller so they are limited to where they can build the TQ compared to the S or GTS yet naturally would come in sooner to start with.

It sounds like you are looking for something a tuned file is already doing from the beginning as it's increased through the entire range.

Tx Scott, I will call you, probably tomorrow.

Primarily I am looking for TQ increase at lower RPM, which is more usable on secondary roads in the UK.

Top end PS/kW are more useful on the track, which I tend to do only once a year. Hence the dilemma.

I'm assuming those are wheel numbers.
That translates to ~635hp and ~570tq at the crank assuming a 15% loss.
That's about 75hp more than what Scott claims on his website for GTS.
Your BMC filters have been proven to contribute zero.
Your 100 cell cats and 93 octane (I believe his numbers are based on 91) are the only two mods that add power and not sure they would add 75hp on their own.

My point is that Scott, much like Porsche, is known for underrating his numbers and focusing on drivability and reliability.
Most tuners in my observation, focus on claiming the biggest gains they can publish often at the expense of how the power is delivered.
I like Scott.

Yes they are whp numbers. Dyno was done on a dynapack which I understand tends to read a little higher due to no wheel slip. So, I'm guessing the hp at the crank is closer to 600. Regardless, car is running great and is pretty darn quick so I'm happy...

Thanks,
Barry
