They always tell me they reset it and can’t see anything. It stopped between year 2 and 4 after I gave up and tried 2 tanks of Techron on a whim (fuel injector cleaner). In the past 6 months it resurfaced here and there but it’s not consistent. This is when I started hooking up my code reader and recording the pending codes before I turn the car off. Whenever I try to reproduce it to drive straight to the dealer it never happens lol.

I’ll try them again now that I have some proof and hopefully they have seen it on other cars now that the platform is 4+ years

Ugghh...my 2021 S 7MT has started to do this at 21k miles in the past few weeks with increasing frequency. Tried a tank with a bottle of Techron with no improvement. Last Friday, happened about 5 times in a 20 minute drive. I can typically induce it by doing a light pull in 2nd or 3rd and abruptly letting off the gas. I hooked up my Veepak bluetooth dongle and used the CarScanner android app to try to read a code, but since there was technically no MIL, nothing showed up.

So I got up Saturday with the intention of having the error and driving to the dealer without turning the car off -- drove around for 3 hours with no error. Of course.

tried to replicate the error this morning but failed. Decided to just drive in to my dealer anyway.

They took it in and said they’ll run the diagnostics to see what fault codes were logged.

now it’s just a waiting game because the dealer is swarmed with cars waiting to be worked on

Go on the highway put it on 5th or 6th let it slow down to 50mph ? or 60? where you would obviously go to 3rd or 2nd but leave it at 6th and then floor it , guaranteed it will shudder and message will appear

Weird, same year, model and mileage and same thing just started happening.

Were they able to read a code without the reduced engine power actively showing?

Yes they were able to and that’s how they knew what to repair/replace.

Not sure why so many others on here heard otherwise from their dealers.

I made a post about this. Look at my history but it was fuel injectors on my 2020 c2s. Happened with full throttle or in sport response mode. Repaired under emissions warranty for free. I was able to induce the error at command (sport response on in sport mode full throttle), and then when the warning triggered I immediately drove to dealer (don’t turn car off otherwise error goes away). Good luck.

Is there an updated injector or other fix that prevents this from happening again after the repair?

On the Turbo forum I read the part number is the same but ends in B instead of A. So there is a new updated part number out that replaced the old one.

Not sure if the Turbo uses different injectors than Carreras but for the Turbos:

New part number: 0PB128616B
Old part number: 0PB128616A

Brought mine into the dealer today (Porsche Westwood) -- warning came on during the drive in and they pulled codes as soon as I pulled up. No faulty injector codes -- I think my SA had actually read this thread He said they've never replaced an injector on a 992 before that he could remember.

Tech thought it was odd that the reduced engine power warning displays without the MIL.

Instead it showed code P2B3100 which indicates the radiator fan in front of the right front tire was not operating. Tech confirmed that to be the case so I suspect they are going to replace that and give the car back to me and I'll hope that was the issue.
