Default Reduced engine power

Recently purchased a 2020 C4S within a few days of owner ship i got a “reduced engine power” twice now. First time was in 3rd gear flooring it second time was driving completely normal. Took it to my local dealer they see cylinder 1 having an issue. They told me we will clear the code and you can take the car back I told them absolutely not I want the issue resolved. Service is claiming because it’s not a “active problem” they cannot claim it under warranty just yet. He’s going to drive the car around and see if the code will appear. Should I take it to another dealer? anyone else experience this?

Buy a cheap code reader and plug it in before you turn your car off when you get that message. Let us know what the code is. Likely a fuel injector.

Reconsider allowing dealer to reverse transaction and take car back.

My 2021 manual S is in the shop for this right now, it's s a faulty injector I read some other cars have it to even though my car is out of warranty , since this is an emissions issue I was told it covers up to 50k miles. The issue seems to be for cars around those years 2020/2021

I just faced this issue again on my drive back home tonight.

Notice that it usually occurs when I drop into gear at about 5k rpms and do a pull. Engine shudders and the error light comes up.

Are they able to do anything about it if the code isn’t active since it goes away on restart? Or must the code be present when we drive the car in to the dealer for them to read it?

Yep exactly the same issue. I should have some info by today service was closed Saturday and Sunday. Last they told me he’s gonna try and get the car to throw the code again for warranty to claim it but they can see it when they scan it so it doesn’t make to much sense

Hmm I might try and replicate the error on a working day and drive straight to the dealer when that happens.. so that they can read the code

You have to take it to the shop so they reset the computer and then take the car with you to reproduce the error and go back. I have a manual and it is easy for me to reproduce it, I did so with the Mecanic in the car with me, theres a shudder and then the error appears.

update the service advisor drove the car and got it to duplicate the error. Parts ordered and will be fixed under warranty

what parts did they order? For me it was a faulty throttle body and that fixed the issue.

He ordered an injector. Service advisor says it’s a faulty injector

Had this problem on my 992 S recently. Only 14K miles on the clock too. Ended up being a faulty injector and was replaced by Porsche under warranty even though the car is a 2020 and has no warranty. They did it for free.

Have your dealers been able to find the code even when it’s not actively lit?

I took mine in year 2 and they just said they don’t know what it was. Code always comes up for me when I can’t just drive over to the dealer. Even at my 4yr service I asked them to check my injectors and they said they need a live code to do anything. I’ve been saving pics of my code reader showing Cylinder 1 injector and now for the first time also cylinder 2.

They need to reset your computer so it doesn't show any errors, then take the car drive it till the code appears again and take it to them. I just picked my car today for the same issue , injector replaced

Had a few codes come up on mine. Not sure why but Porsche said it was related to the injector.

P060C00 - Function Restriction
P1CEA00 - Control unit reset due to overtemperature
C114113 - Control unit was not shut down correctly
C114113 - Terminal 30 power supply - open circuit
U140000 - Function limitation due to insufficient voltage
