PEC-ATL - Which experience?
I'm going to be in Atlanta for about 2 days and want to do a driving experience at PEC. I have a 992.2 C2 and am itching wondering what my eventual next daily driver will be. I'm thinking about the following packages:
TTS vs GT3: Ultimate daily vs track focus, although I have minimal interest in buying a GT3 as I don't plan to track
GT3: Just for the unique experience for 90mins
TTS vs Taycan Turbo S: Leaning towards this one as both can be considered candidates for the ultimate daily driver
GTS 2 vs GTS 4: RWD vs AWD experience, maybe they'll have the new hybrid model too?
Any thoughts or opinions much appreciated!
My advice: Do one that has two cars in it. It gives you a back to back real time comparison of cars on the same track under similar conditions. Pick an experience that has cars that you would consider buying to help you choose the one that is best for you.
I've done RWD vs AWD. PDK vs Manual. Mid-Engine vs Rear Engine.
I haven't been for 3 years so maybe those don't exist anymore.

Here are some additional thoughts (since you asked): For a daily you may want to consider the S vs 4S instead of the GTS vs. 4GTS. The S does have more sound deadening than the GTS and perhaps overall more daily focused than the GTS. You could check out the Taycan if you want, but be aware if buying new they have massive deprecation (~35% 5 year residuals). NACS is now supported with an adapter, but you won't be able to achieve the higher charging speeds due to the different voltage architecture. Personally I would not recommend buying the current generation Taycan. The Turbo S is a joy to drive day to day, it is very accessible despite being insanely quick. The Turbo S it is a bit heavier though and you feel it out back. It also has a much more noticeable turbo / power lag the Carrera models. To me (and others on the Turbo forum have said this too, https://rennlist.com/forums/992-turb...ispreloading=1), I feel like the TTS lacks the engagement and feeling that you get from the Carrera models. Everyone like different things in the cars, trying them is the best way to experience them and figure out what you like.

I had David U. as my instructor and can't say enough positive about my time with him. Apparently he is one of only 3 instructors who have been there since the Atlanta location opened. Excellent communication, clear directions, and positive feedback, which was helpful for me as I had never been on a track before (my time on Gran Tourismo probably helped a little bit).
I have a 997.2 GTS and thought that was pretty quick. I started with the Turbo and after a few warmup laps through the cones we did a launch mode start. The first time was honestly a little scary with how much power and acceleration there was - the nearly-double amount of torque between the Turbo S and my car was very apparent. The GT3 felt almost mundane in comparison to the Turbo, from an acceleration perspective, but it handled much tighter, like it was on rails.
Overall, great experience, highly recommend, and now I want to do more track time!
