I have found a very good installer who pre-cuts the films and doesn't have to cut them on the car or remove lights or other parts - I don't want that.
He works with LLUMAR Valor - better he suggests this foil. I live in the mountains above 1000hm (In Summer UV is high; it can get warm >30° but in the night it cools down to 15°; in winter possible -25° but i will not drive the car in winter)
Does anyone have experience with the films especially with light metallic paintwork like the GT Silver I will have; tint?!
Michael…
I have Llumar Valor PPF (track pack=full front, rockers, hips, a-pillars). Also Llumar CTX Tint 35% all windows (except windshield which has “Air” clear tint). Entire car coated with GTechniq Ceramic 5yr Coating. Looks great on my GT Silver, works great too. I had the same set up on my last 911, so I know it will perform well for my needs.

Sweet spec. I have a Racing yellow Cab S and my desire is to re-PPF the front clip, hood, front fenders, paint around windshield, windshield itself, rear hips, rockers, and very bottom of rear bumper just for was of getting tar etc off or it not sitting in paint if I don’t catch it soon after it getting in the paint. Also will ceramic whole car including glass and wheels/calipers. This what you have? Does the Valor PPF have ceramic coat on top pre or post install? I ask because my CPO car was done by last owner all by Ceramic Pro. I have an appt to evaluate tearing off and redoing according to what I just listed above. One pre eval meeting thought I had was they now sell pre coated PPF so I can either ceramic like rest of car after PPF installed or whole car ceramic plus pre coated PPF. What was your total protection PPF and ceramic cost all in?
I’m certainly not an expert but my understanding is that Valor has a ceramic coating (or something like it) “built” into it as part of the formula…it definitely repels water on its own. On my last 911 I had Valor too, but it wasn’t ceramic coated on top of it…this time I got Valor AND ceramic coating on top too. Apparently according to my installer (widely regarded as the best in this area) this is the way to get best results. As far as what I got ceramic coated…I got all the body panels, all the glass and wheel faces coated…wheel barrels aren’t recommended as it makes it hard to balance wheels when you get new tires because the weights won’t stick on. I did not get calipers done, and honestly it’s not ever been an issue. I paid $4800 all in for the Valor track pack and full ceramic.

thanks for the quick reply and details! Sounds like what I want. You’re right - I just read Valor has ceramic pre coat also. $5k is what I wanted to max spend for what it sounds like you have and what I want. Thanks again and killer spec!!
