Cabriolet or coupe
Hi guys, I am debating between the cab and coupe for my new 992.2. It seems like a dumb question and I was curious about the reason about why or why not to get a cab. As some context, I live in California and at my late 20s. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful!

As you see from others’ replies it’s a personal choice. I think it’s binary and not many people flirt in the middle. It’s either in your blood or not.
Personally, I love the feeling of driving in a convertible. True, the lines aren’t as pretty as the coupe with the top closed. Living in sunny CA you’ll be able to enjoy that visceral feeling of wind blowing, music blasting, etc.

Can't really go wrong either way but Coupe for me.
I've owned 1 roadster (2007 Boxster S) and learned I wasn't really a convertible guy, even here in CA. Open air driving is fun but it also means, even with a hat, that you're exposed to the sun and being a fair skinned person that wasn't optimal for me. Fabric tops require additional care to keep them looking good and there can be issues with the mechanism over time. Also, coupes are lighter weight and are a bit more practical, IMO.
None of those things are deal breakers either way. It's a really personal choice. Good luck and have fun choosing.

Coupe with sunroof in glass would be my second suggestion. I'd get a Spyder for top-down fun.
Not sure what part of the state you're in, OP, but I remember our cabs' tops getting cut. Just a thought.

I’ve had both. I really love the cab. The chassis is very rigid and the top has panels that make the driving experience feel like a coupe when closed. I personally like the lines of the cab as well. Can’t go wrong. If you’re not sure how you’ll feel with an open air experience, rent a cab for a weekend and see what you think.

You need to find out if you’re a cab person or not. I have the top down as much as I can if the weather permits. I have friends with convertibles that used the top the first month they got the car and never put the top down again.

I was a convertible guy but I chose the coupe because I hated the lines of the cab and loved the lines of the coupe.
Now 2 years later, I wish I had the cab to enjoy the open air experience which I love.
Yes, the cab is ugly but the experience is beautiful.
