My 992.2 911 Carrera has less than 1000 miles. I got a "reduced engine power" warning and the car went in limp mode. It also says "auto start stop not working". What might be causing this? Going to take it in.
Had a customer with a weird issue on theirs like this.
4 cylinders misfiring, local dealership replaced a solenoid and the issue came back, so they brought it to us, but then the issue just never came back after we got it.
very strange.
Youtuber Luke tests the 992.2 https://www.youtube.com/@carswithluke
However, the video is no longer available on his channel...
I wonder if Porsche didn't ask for it to be deleted, as it was very critical compared to other reviews on the internet.

You’re correct. The video is no longer available. One of the few videos I’ve ever commented on YT (I asked if he had received any update prior to posting) and he responded, “none”.
hope there’s a legitimate explanation along with an updated video.
I think if they are taking away the analog tach, they need to offer up something better. The view of OP’s is boring as heck! Give us something interesting if your going all digital, skies the limit.
Mine did that at 700 miles. First the auto stop start wouldn't work and then it pooped out and I was told to bring it in. They couldn't reproduce the issue - said they finished a software update that wasn't done at the factory ?? It's been working ok since they did that.
Brought it into service they charged the battery all the way up and it went away for ~500 miles or so then popped up. They checked grounds and couldn't find anything else wrong after clearing codes and taking it on a drive.
I mostly experience the issue on startup, curious if you guys are experiencing this on startup or while you're actively driving. I also get an oil over temp warning which makes no sense based on how the car is driving and where it was a few sec (will go from ~215 to 302 in 2-3 seconds) but this only happens at operating temp and while driving for this specific error. The time I started it up it was cold out and I had turned seat heaters and steering wheel heater on so perhaps was pulling some extra current from battery which contributed to the issue... I can usually restart the car and it won't show up again.
I'm feeling it may be a battery issue and perhaps a bad batch of batteries? I've been keeping it on the charger but it still will do it randomly.
Interesting. I had the warning come up while driving. It has not come up since the codes were reset. I agree - sounds like a bad manufacturing batch. What is your build date timeframe?
I wonder if this could be some software issue with the early production 992.2 models and it could just be fixed with an update at the dealer. Hopefully it's not mechanical related.
for its worth, my 992.1 had an ACC not operable message, research on the internet pointed to a battery issue, as systems start to become inop if the battery voltage is too low, i was very concerned as i have RWS and a Lithium Ion battery which is very expensive to replace, put it in to the local Porsche Dealer, it was one of the engine fans staying on too long after shut down taking down the battery voltage, got it back and no issues so far..
so your issues could be related to battery voltage or the software being too sensitive to battery voltage.. just a guess on my part... luckily you have warranty.
