Thanks gents! I think I need the aero kit and will spec it. Now have to figure out if all that leather is worth it. I am not sure how long I will keep the car so resale is important and usually only keep a car 2 years. I did another build a little over $150k and might just do that one.
Same on an April allocation and thinking about similar options (aero kit and leather). On top of that I’m will get the bucket seats as I don’t like the fabric look of the sport seats and gonna track this car.
No notes really - just consider some of the “free” options like the passenger footwell cargo net (what’s the harm) the smoking package (removable additional cup holder) and maybe the rear seats (compromises weight a bit but may be valuable for resale someday since it expands potential buyer base).
I skipped the fancy gas gap and the prewire and don't miss either.

Disagree.
The net looks awful especially once it gets stretched out.
The smoking package adds nothing and muddies up the window sticker.
Don't get the rear seats unless you have kiddos that will use them. Forget resale that's boring.
I always check pre-wire. $140 to get correct power for a radar detector and/or camera that I can factory clip into is worth it.
Lose power steering pls. Meh
Add surround view. One of the biggest things I miss.
I check pre-wire too, but from all my research, I cannot determine what we gain having it as every camera/detector wiring is done with existing cabling in the overhead console..?
Anyway. For a buck-forty, it won't break the bank. I feel like we're playing Jenga with his build to keep it from going over $150k. haha

Hahah. I set a cap once. Then I decided I wanted what I wanted on a >$150k car. Lesson learned.
IIRC The pre wire saves the hassle of having to run a wire from the passenger fuse box to tap into. You can also make a harness that clips in directly to the pre wire so that it looks OEM and can be put back to stock just by unclipping. I'm in that situation now so I'll take some pics.

Looking for some opinions and figured this would be a good place to gather some. I have an allocation for a new Carrera T to be built in April and like many of you, lost in the sea of options. I really wanted a manual and have played with colors, options etc. I do not want to go over $150K and have had a number of builds that fit within my budget. Hard to mention Porsche and budget in the same sentence!!! I like the look of the Aerokit with the spoiler and willing to give up a full leather interior to get it. I know I could just continue to up my budget but really do not want to. I guess I am just asking if anyone else has ordered there recently with the Aerokit and if they are happy with it. I like the way the car looks both ways but feel the Aerokit makes it just a little more special in a sea of 911s out there. I am not a flashy person so will probably order it is white. Thoughts? Thank you!
If you get a leather sport interior it puts you only $750 above your budget. If it was me I’d also go for the aero kit. I’d also add bucket seats and carbon roof but these are expensive options. I have a feeling that 911T will be the only carrera with a manual (outside of GT cars) so these options will add to the value in the future.
Are you skipping buckets for any reason other than budget? Your car could end up being truly special if you combined Aerokit + Leather T + Buckets with no additional fluff.
I got the 4-ways because I needed backseats for the kiddos... But if you don't need back seats, the buckets are worth every penny.
I am going to make sure that the backseats are in the car. I have fully grown children but now that they have children as well, I will take the next generation out for rides and help them develop an appreciation for cool cars. I have the best memories of taking my daughters out on cool drives, hitting 100mph and asking them to "Don't tell your mother!" only to have them rat me out because they were so excited. I always thought that was so cool!!
And does anyone know what the pre-wire for dash cam actually delivers? There's another $140 saved
Great build. I like the leather suggestions as well but it is understandable why you skip it given budget constraints.
If you plan to get the PORSCHE Dashcam this is a must. I did, and also purchased the PORSCHE Dashcam and did the install myself and it was easy (maybe 1 hour in total). Plus I would highly recommend this from Amazon to compliment the dash cam.
Thanks gents! Great suggestions and advice. I will finalize the build right after the holiday since the cut off date is mid January if I recall. Is it April yet?
