I'm afraid to use conditioner on my black leather with GT Silver stitching as I fear I'll ruin the stitching.

Your insight is appreciated.

I won’t know until after I try the Leather Solutions product. Will do a small area in the back first once I have time this weekend.

Giving this thread a bump to see if anyone had a chance to try the products from Leather Solutions yet. Interested in what folks have experienced.

I received the kit with the three bottles in the mail and reviewed the instructions. Seems like you need a hair dryer to speed up drying for the Soften and Protect solutions. I'll need to borrow an extension cord from my neighbor

No hair dryer needed, that is only for pure aniline leathers to prevent water staining. No car interiors currently on the market are in pure aniline leathers. Just apply and go.

Don't worry about your stitching coloration...it will be fine.

I just applied the 3-stage kit from Leather Solutions to the interior of my C4S yesterday and wanted to share my experience. Overall, the application process was simple and I'm pleased with the results. I just came back from a camping trip so there was dirt all over the upholstery, I started by wiping this away with a damp microfiber cloth before moving on to the three bottles included in the kit. Here's what I experienced:
  • For the first stage "cleaner" I used the small sponge that came in the kit and rubbed it over the leather in the dash, door, seats, etc.
  • For the second stage "softener", I used a fresh microfiber cloth to apply it to the same surfaces. I noted that it had a bit of a pleasant but not overpowering scent. Afterwards I felt like I could have used maybe more of the softener or applied it in multiple stages. This is something I will try next time.
  • For the third stage "protectant", I used yet another microfiber cloth. This is a liquid so you could probably use a sponge to apply this as well.
At the end, the leather looked exactly the same as it did in the beginning, which was clean and new. There was no noticeable gloss or sheen to the leather. To my touch, it felt the same, but the car is basically new so I'm interested to hear what other's experience. There was a slight chemical scent (not heavy/overwhelming) at the end of the process, but this had cleared up by the following morning. I did have one blemish on the back of my driver's seat from some of my camping gear, which had disappeared by the end of the cleaning process!

Some tips:
  • As mentioned by drcollie, you shouldn't use a hair dryer to dry the softener or protectant as this isn't needed for the type of leather used on our cars.
  • Do not use the white cloths that come in the kit. I quickly saw that these flimsy things lose fibers as you use them. Go with a microfiber/terry cloth or sponge instead.
  • You may want to use gloves. I felt some dryness in my palms after doing the three stages. It was nothing a little moisturizer couldn't fix, but beware if you have sensitive skin.
Thanks to @drcollie for the recommendations on the product.

A few tips:

Go Sparingly on the # 2 bottle (Softener). This is the expensive item in the kit and is 75% of the price.

Throw away the sponges, too. They absorb too much material and "splash" it on the leather. Better to apply to a Microfiber towel and then take that towel to the leather.

Your experience is the same as mine. There is no "Wow - look at that" moment, it just keeps it looking like new. - that's what you want!

it won’t do anything special, nor will any cleaner or conditioner from any maker. As I have mentioned before, perforations are holes punched into the hides after they have been fully tanned and finished. As such they allow an entry point for anything water based to get into the hide and the leather will soak that up like a sponge, resulting in stains and spots. Avoid spilling into the seats, and don’t squirt your cleaners directly onto the seats. Put your product on a cloth and then take it to the seat.

timecwoll mitigate most stains out of leather if you leave it alone. It can take a year or longer for that to happen.

My kit arrived yesterday. The car is essentially new (750 miles). So should I still do the entire 3 step process, only the protector or some other combo?

spray conditioner on microsoft cloth then apply to leather. this will prevent clotting of the ventilation holes. Use sparingly and add more if needed. Do not add cream directly to ventilated seats. will clog the openings
