What a beauty. and what car is it? Isn't the new dealer building amazing. I live in Naples, a few miles south of the dealer. Are you in one of the local Porsche clubs? We joined both to have more events
Thanks! She's a base 992.1 the last of her kind. I haven't joined any of the clubs, Will DM you to find out more. I love the new dealer Mitch and team built, partly pushing me over the ski's to pull the trigger so I could enjoy heading up for the monthly events with my new son.

What is the white tape on that car? Here's why. My new car will be delivered to my house in an enclosed truck when it travels from the dealer in Chicago to my house in Florida. Then I will drive it about 30 minutes to have it PPF'd. Thinking I should paint protect the front bumper on the way. What tape do I use?
I made it from one thread to the second, 8 months from order to delivery. A good day! I’ve enjoyed participating in this thread while waiting. Thanks for all the advice and commiseration.

This may or may not have been mentioned prior; I found something interesting on the TYD webpage. Even if it has not been updated, the GPS coordinates of the car appear to be live, they constantly change, or remain static depending on where the car is. I noticed this when I began digging further when the free version of "vessel tracker" websites stopped updating current position. In my case, "they" only list positions as of five days ago, as of today.
The "live" GPS coordinates for the car9or vessel?) are displayed under "current position --> location". These coordinates constantly change if the car is moving.
This is meaningless in a sense, the car will arrive when it does, but as the anxiety and curiosity builds after waiting, and knowing that TYD estimates and "ranges" are variable (and infrequent updated estimates), this can be at least an interesting way to tolerate it.
If not obvious, this data is derived from the "inspect/view source" data from the webpage, guide on how to achieve this has been posted many times.
Interesting info! I need to see if my Cayenne in Emden has moved in the last week...
Only problem with the free version is it only shows the next port as the destination. Looks like the SFL Conductor at Emden now is heading for Halifax. I'm on the West Coast, so my Cayenne sits some more.
But my 992.2 is heading for the Cabo Wabo cantina!

PS - checked my 992.2 on TYD with the webpage inspection method and it doesn't show a current location (on the ship, so vessel tracker for that one).
But my Cayenne order does have the current location... Emden. Punched the latitude and longitude into Google Earth and ta-dah!
Mine's the white one! Mine's the white one! ;-)
