Edit: FYI, those that are currently waiting at port, I highly suggest that you contact your Porsche Brand Ambassador, sales representative directly for the latest up-to-update information as they have an actual internal ETA that is far more reliable than anything one is going to acquire via TYD.
I have heard back from the Ambassador that the JAX hold is due to EPA CARB certification. This is for a 2025 Macan GTS, but may be impacting other models.

I did look up the EPA certification status and do see approved TYPES for both the 2.0 and 2.9/3.0 engines from July 2024 so not sure if there is another separate issue with the regulatory authorities.

Here's a screenshot of my iPhone TYD. As we know, Sumire Leader is chugging up the Mexican coast already. I was a bit panicked since Tropical Storm Ernesto was heading towards Puerto Rico.
My Turbo S is on the same ship, due in San Diego National City marine terminal berth 24-4 on Friday at 0600….

Not sure why a Macan GTS would be on hold, it's the same as 2024. Cayenne?

The 992s that I mentioned are 2024 models, therefore no EPA certification hold.

Every new model year must undergo EPA recertification even if there are no changes.

Any idea how long the EPA certification can take. Historically has it been a long time?

I am not sure what the issue is regarding EPA certs. From what I have found (attached) both engine types are approved for 2025.

I am hoping for the 992.2 base to be cleared by the EPA for 2025 very soon. This is what I am waiting for to find out about, as my car is at the Baltimore Port right now, but has not made any movement to the dealer yet. My dealer said the car won't leave the port till it is EPA certified.

Same on my plotter. It looks to be heading Northeast, too. "Stopped" that's not good.
Maybe grabbing some Fortaleza tequila. Smart, can't find it in California.

Don't know the name of the boat, but my car left Emden on 7/24 and just went through the Panama Canal last night. I saw it was approaching last night and this morning its on the other side. I read some of the ships had delays there. Still says my car isn't expected to arrive in San Francisco area port and my dealer in Fresno till 9/17

Are you using the Porsche app (TYD) to track? It is way off. My Macan GTS left Emden on 7/24 as well, so you are probably on the Sumire Leader. It is currently off the coast of Mexico, a day out from San Diego, its first stop. It will then head up the coast to Benecia, offload before being trucked to Fresno (my cars final destination, too).
