If you park the car with the spoiler raised it will cool the car faster. Driving at low speeds with the spoiler raised will cool the engine as well. I raise it before I park the car in the garage in the summer.

Otherwise on the highway you should let it do it's thing.

raised spoiler provides cooling when car is driving - in standstill I doubt it does all that much. Also, what is the benefit of having it cool down faster in your garage (if it actually does it anyway). Not like you are on a race pit stop and want to leave in a hurry again with cooled down engine.

If I am driving, I let it deploy as designed by the engineers. I have to say that I really like watching it deploy in my Sideview mirror. I have noticed it goes way higher when my top is down and I’m going over 80 miles an hour.
You drive with no shirt on? that's a questionable move...

I would like to point out that German Auto manufacturers for quite a long time, denied the cupholder and the need for AC, the example of the E24 AC system is an example, for that car they ended up putting an ice chest on the back seat on the later cars.. which was a blight on humanity IMO..

I am however in their corner when it comes to "The burnout" the idea of heaping abuse on tires, transmission, rear end, engine, all to ruin a set of tires seems a little odd to me...

The only benefit of cooling down the car before closing the garage door is that I don't have a scorching hot garage. The 992 generates so much heat and my garage is not air-conditioned. It gets boiling. I am talking 40C+.

I find it help. Put your hand above the open wing after a good drive.

Well, don't you close your garage door immediately....seconds after leaving the car and entering the house? If so, making it cool down any faster will still juyst heat your garage, Really don't see any point in it. Btw, I am in FL and our garages are scorching hot in the summer anyway....

This. While I am driving, I cannot see mine deployed. When I first got the car I was curious about it so I used the button while the car was parked so I could see it. Periodically, when on the highway and about to approach slow traffic, I will use the PCM to navigate to settings so I can see the little spoiler icon go from being deployed to stored. I’m still in the honeymoon period so maybe at some point I will stop getting a kick out of these small things that remind me of a few things I like about the car and the engineering behind it.

My garage is always in the mid-70s with the humidity around 45-50%. Of course, installing a spilt AC and a dehumidifier is the reason, but the days of a mildewy, swampy garage are no more. Best investment ever.

I think the 992 looks better with the spoiler down

Ok I admit it, I did like to raise the spoiler frequently, so I went to a therapist and he said I was over compensating, I tried to be good, I really did, but I couldn’t find happiness with the tail down - so then I turned to Rennlist and saw others living their authentic life and I said why can’t I find happiness too! And that how I ended up with a Lava GT3 RS and we lived happily ever after

Well, with a GT3 RS your spoiler is now up all the time. At my age, I am envious.

Mine goes up in wet mode regardless of speed….so Porsche designed it that way, but we aren’t supposed to go into wet mode when in the city and the car is beeping telling us to go into wet mode….??

When I see this I always let the driver know their wing might be broken as its up when parked or at a slow speed...Wing up high speeds sure..Ill never click the button to raise it..not once...so dumb
