Its the $3-4k option for the headlights.

LED Matrix headlights on the 992.1 look like the pic below. The headlights are comprised of dozens of individual LEDs that allow the beam to be “shaped” around either oncoming vehicles or vehicles you are following. Example pics further below should hopefully give you an idea.

If you added the option in Europe, Canada, and other countries, the feature is enabled. In the US, the approval process has been slow. LED Matrix is available in the US, but they behave just like high/low beams. There are a couple of individuals who can enable the feature aftermarket if you have them on your 992.

This made me wonder - if you ordered a 992 with European Delivery and drove it in Europe first, could it have Matrix lights enabled?

I haven't yet, but will reach out to @rnlst_log in the coming weeks. I bought Piwis from him and he'd been fantastic with the set up and showing me some of the basic ropes of it.

No, as it is still a U.S. model that is ultimately bound for the United States.

I bought a pre-owned 992 C4S. Is there a way for me to see if the previous owner had them activated? Learn something new everyday.

Is the car optioned with matrix beams? Each light should say ‘LED Matrix’ inside the unit. If so, and the matrix function has been activated, when the beams are pointed at a wall there should be a distinct ‘stair step’ on the beam pattern.

I have the matrix light and I don't like it at all.

It keeps adjusting the light for incoming cars, traffic, road curve, etc at night and that is super distracting for me.

I find them a marvel. In any case they can easily be coded 'off', though that might be a 'first', lol

Yes, I do the LED Matrix lights. Previous posts were talking about activating them. Didn’t know if I missed something. I did have a lot of single malt though.

So these are now standard on the 992.2, right? Hope this can still be coded on with the new cars.

Does coding them on void the warranty?

No, the LED Matrix headlights are still an option on the .2.
