I think the dust reduction is closer to 90% actually. Her wheels stayed surprisingly clean. We live in metro Washington DC where traffic is always ridiculous and full of fools that make you stand on the binders to avoid a crash. Where we go that extra ten to fifteen feet in a hard stop can mean the difference in just cussing out the driver vs airbag deployment and a flatbed to the body shop, calmer areas of the Country might not be as critical….my wife didn’t want less braking performance on her new Macan when she traded out of the Audi, so she just has me clean her wheels more frequently

the Red Stuff pads don’t stop shorter or bite as well in my experience. Good luck

All my BMWs (M and non M) and my Audi or my AMG I always put low dust ceramic pad. Im aware of the trade off, i just need to know what option for my carrera T.

im not driving like a maniac on the street, i anticipate, i modulate both gas pedal and brake. I dont ride on anyone’s rear bumper. And my style is not on or off gas pedal. I coast, down shift when needed

Ceramic coat your rims... it does help a bit w/reducing brake dust.

Brad, I have the same experience with my GTS. Depending on my travels, the dust could be crazy in one trip or three. Not sure if it’s material or something else in action as the wheels themselves don’t seem to have a lot of dust but the side of the car and especially the rear of the rear fenders is beyond anything I’ve experienced.

I have everything ceramic’d to hell and back so it does help. I try to wash the cars once a month no matter what and always wipe down all areas after each drive. I have divided up my towels to specific areas. Wheel towels take a beating!

Enjoy the drive not the dust.

Just don't drive it and keep it in the garage. No dust!

I concur about the approximately 10% reduction in braking performance for approximately 90% reduction in dust as this is my personal experience with ceramic compound pads versus OEM. I chose the less dust route on my Macan but I'm not willing to sacrifice the stopping distance on my Cayman for looks/convenience. Pick your poison. This stuff is always about compromising one thing for another.

My experience with using these techniques I attain well over 100K miles on a set of brakes, with a corresponding very low build up of brake dust on the wheels.
This!!
