Installed my Hawk ceramic brake pads yesterday on my 992 S. So far, it generates noticeably less brake dust. The brake pedal does not feel quite as solid as w/stock pads but I've gotten used to the slightly more pressure needed. Also in full panic stop mode, the brakes seem to stop just as well as stock. I think in normal every day driving that does not require heavy braking or high speed braking, these pads are fine.

$ 400 a set? I haven't done brake pads in a few years, when did they get so pricey?

But yeah, that's pricey. EBC also makes ceramic pads for way cheaper but there were no reports on how effective they were so I went with Hawk Ceramics.
I'm running powerstop ceramic pads on my M3 and they cost something insanely cheap like $30 - $40 per set or $70 for pads on all 4 corners. Chalk it up to the Porsche tax... which is way pricier than even the BMW tax.
