Default Rocks inside body panels

Got some small rocks wedged inside the body panels of my 992 GT3 after 10k miles.
Any ideas? They’re really in there and I don’t want to scratch the paint

pics attached for reference

Don't drive near little stones? : )

Get some plastic body panel tools (Amazon is perfect for that) that are like plastic screwdrivers and clip removal tools and then lube up the spots where the little rocks are with detailing solution or car shampoo or whatever and work them out.

I have gotten those 3-4 times. I use a small metal pick and am able to push them in and move them to the larger openings at the junction of the door, rocker and wing and they come right out.

Bumper is easier. You can typically flex the bumper enough down and then get a plastic pry tool in there to flush it out. The others ones should still come out with the plastic pry tool, but there may be some light scratching done in the process. Could also try compressed air at an angle, but I feel in general the plastic pry tool is your best bet. Hook tool would be fine if you have a steady hand to not stab the paint.

Get some fishing line and feed it through the line and behind the rocks. It has a natural curl, so the end will be poking out towards you if you do it right.

I just used touch up paint so now I have small rocks in exterior color. Waiting to get them PPF’d. I don’t want rock chips on my rocks.

Spray quick detailer and ‘float’ them out. No scratches.

I get those on my TTS too, highly annoying. It’s the cup2s they throw rocks like nothing else.

Most likely already scratched (on the way in) and if you will become worse if you leave them in there. Just open the joint a little using a non-metallic tool and pry them out.

I have used compressed air to blow them out the way that they came in.

I’m surprised you wouldn’t leave them as an exercise in durability ….

The wheels are shooting rocks into the cracks. I am going to try putting a blob of silicone over the wheel well opening to keep the stones from lodging in the first place.

Fish string.

Use it like you would floss for your teeth.

Maybe press fit 2mm vinyl cordage in the panel separation to prevent this from occurring again. It's available in different colors. Body shops use this from time to time to fill gaps that can't be adjusted beyond certain tolerances...just a thought...
