Not rich enough to handle losing $50k a year on a car.

I think used MC20 prices have hit their nadir, or very very close to it.
You can pickup a nice low mileage (less than 2k) 2022 MC20 for the price of a new 992.2 GTS.
Dollar for dollar their comparable cars, but suited for different buyers.
The MC20 buyer is looking for a Giorgio Armani suit.
The 911 buyer is your Brooks Brothers customer.

MC20 is imo one of the best looking cars around today. But sadly it’s about the worst driving modern car I can recall for a long time. No surprise that used they have such poor residuals from new with just a few hundred miles on, and that’s if you can find a buyer.

One will draw constant attention, the other periodic appreciation. Your intended use would largely form many responses here.
Its worth a quick chat with a service manager about annual cost expectations and durability. Now its possible they wont have much to offer since most cars have seen few real miles but that might provide valuable perspective. Dont automatically think the cars will have reliability issues...the grantourismo is near bullet proof.

Did test drive today for a few hours…
911: Your German wife: attractive, dependable, loyal
MC20: Your Italian mistress: sexy, passionate, somewhat high maintenance and always on the lookout for a better match

Looks great, and picking one up with less than 10K miles, for about $180K isn't bad either!

The problem I have is that the Maserati brand has been somewhat sullied. They're like the Altimas of the exotic car world. The ones I see are cornball 300 credit score Quattroportes with limo tint and chrome 22s.

C2S looks better. MC20 is more flashy and exciting. I've never driven an MC20 to comment on its driveability but i'd be astonished if the handling even held a candle to Porsche.I'm sure the acceleration is more exciting though. If you're driving it short distances mostly city streets then the Maserati will be fine. For any real usage including track work, road trips, daily usage, canyons, I'd choose the 911.
