You can switch off all exterior lights by pressing and holding the parking lights button for a few seconds.

(They automatically come back on after driving 330 miles or exceeding 6 mph).

Clicking both paddle shifters together once engages neutral. And if you quickly remove your foot off the brake pedal and depress it again it activates brake hold. You can then press the up shifter once and it will go into 1st but still keep brake hold active. That's how I discovered it.

Not sure if this is what you are saying, but you need'nt go in to neurtral to activate brake hold. Just a quck lift and depress while in gear at a light and it activates.

By design, to stop someone getting squashed between the wheel and the seat.

I would just put the handle in "normally" until the pump shut off and then hold it at 9 until it shut off again. Wasn't horrible but was puzzling until I found the thread on it here.
Going for my first fill up in the Targa today, som I'll see if it's the same.

Same here, never an issue for me. Maybe it's worse on cars without surround view (which I have)?

You can add a 'turn PCM off' button to the home screen which with one touch blacks out the PCM without turning it off. Great for night time runs when all you want is the instruments, but with music still playing.

To be perfectly honest I've never really paid much attention to the digital coolant temperature gauge reading, I don't even have it selected as one of the four in the pod to the right of the tachometer. I ignored it there because the guess-o-meter analog gauge on the far right side of the instrument cluster (hidden by the steering wheel) seemed like it'd be sufficient.
Apparently the digital coolant temp is seen by Porsche more as an idiot light than an actual readout; as in if it's saying 194f (or 90c) then 'all is well in the world'. The simple proof is that 194/90 is displayed regardless of the drive mode selected, even though the engine runs cooler in sport and sport+ than in normal. But if they allow it to a show the actual temp then they'll get more service calls from worried owners. Perhaps they think GT car owners are more informed?

My solution is to have the oil temperature displayed as well; that does show the actual temp at all times and you can clearly see it moving up and down.

I read it somewhere and started noticing that my gage reaches 194 when warmed up and never rises above that number regardless how long I drive or keep the engine running while I idle in super hot weather.

Pay attention to your gage and you will notice the same thing.

I've been trying to get my key fob open for a while now in order to see how the emergency key worked. Here's a good explanation. No affiliation.

Meaning, what? The instant you hear the car start to crank, you dont have to continue to twist?

Yup. It's not like a conventional key where you have to twist and hold until the engine fires up.

Do people actually hold it?
