Another Escort Redline 360c...
Prefer the suction cup positioned just to the right ...provides a less obtrusive view.

I had originally bought the R8 last year. For some reason I wanted to try the 360C so I gave the R8 to my son. After using the 360C for a 6 months I found the R8 was better for the type of driving I do. I gave the 360C to my other son. I went back to the R8 because the range and it just seemed better. I also am a bit older so the small screen on the escort was becoming harder or see. They’re both great but I think the R8 is a little better. I agree with others the R8 + Waze is perfect combo.

why does everyone say Waze? what's the point of that? that app is ridiculous and has 3 million goofy icons everywhere and trying to watch it while driving to see if you can find the little cop picture is insane ..... and dangerous and inaccurate.

I also find Waze to be much better at directions and avoiding traffic than Apple Maps.
Or don’t use it if you don’t like it.

oh, i see- I never actually 'start' any maps or nav or waze... I just route it, look at it and memorize it cos I hate when those type of apps talk to you etc--

And you can have Waze be silent if you don’t want to listen. Or just announce alerts (e.g. cops, hazards), or also announce directions.

You can disable all the goofy icons. I set mine up so it only shows alert icons. Just go to settings.

I’ve also had Waze re-route me when a traffic incident is ahead. It has saved us many hours of frustration when (retuning from a winter in FL) 95N was closed due to an accident and we were able to get off and take back roads until we could re-join the highway north of the accident.
I find in general it’s quite accurate for police presence. It’s not always helpful for potholes or road hazards, and every so often someone posts a traffic jam that doesn’t exist, but in my experience it’s 98% accurate and quite helpful.
